“I don’t think we’ve trained with 12 to be honest. Maybe 13 or 14. (But) 12 is a new one for me."

Tadhg Beirne has achieved a lot in his career; 65 Irish caps, a league title with both the Scarlets and Munster and a host of appearances for the British and Irish Lions.

Yet, even with all that experience, playing with just 12 players became a whole new ball game for one of the world’s best forwards.

CONFIRMED: Scotstown v Newbridge refixture will take place in Armagh on Sunday, throw in at 4pm. Pitch inspection will take place after Saturday evening’s hurling final, with Brewster and Breffni both on standby.

Ulster Club SFC final, which Kilcoo have qualified for, is also pushed back by six days to the evening of Saturday 13 December.
