A little bit different tonight. Let's take a little stroll to Porto, Those who know me, know my love for culture and history. Porto, meets both of these in abundance.

✨ Tonight I'm wandering to Porto, Portugal 🇵🇹

Some cities impress us with famous landmarks. Others quietly steal our hearts.
Porto feels like the latter.

As evening falls, the golden light reflects on the River Douro, old trams rattle through narrow streets, and the colourful houses seem to tumble down the hillside towards the water.

Café tables fill with conversation, church bells echo through the city, and the pace of life simply slows. This isn't a city to rush.
It's wandering through cobbled streets without a map, crossing the magnificent Dom Luís Bridge, sitting beside the river with a coffee or a glass of wine, and watching the lights appear one by one along the waterfront.

Many visitors come for the famous port wine, but Porto offers so much more – beautiful architecture, fascinating history, traditional markets, little bakeries and hidden squares that seem unchanged for generations.

Some places leave us with photographs.
Others leave us with memories. I suspect Porto gives us both.

Who wants something very different?

✨🇱🇻 TONIGHT'S RECOMMENDATION – RIGA, LATVIA 🇱🇻✨

Sometimes the best city breaks are the places you've never really thought about visiting.

Riga is one of those cities.
With its cobbled streets, medieval Old Town, beautiful Art Nouveau architecture and fascinating history, it offers a very different experience from the usual European city break.

What particularly caught my eye about this one is that it includes both a guided walking tour and a traditional food tasting experience.

For me, that's often the best way to discover a destination – through its stories, its people and, of course, its food.

And the good news? Riga is surprisingly affordable once you're there.
