Other stuff I’ve enjoyed… I managed to visit Helsinki, Seville, Zadar and Oslo - all of which were great. I managed to squeeze in a few gigs including Edwyn Collins farewell tour, seeing Richard Hawley for the 900th time, Stereolab’s first tour in ages and had a great day at Mostly Jazz & Funk festival in Moseley!

Perhaps the thing I’m most proud of is that I reignited Bearded Badger which meant getting to do some pop-ups, books clubs… and finally getting Seven Nights at the Flamingo Hotel back in print. It was great to have those bookish chats again -
I missed it!!

I’ve prob missed off a load of stuff - but hey ho. More of the same in 2026 please!

Last night saw our final ‘Beyond Borders Book Club’ for 2025 at the brilliant Suds & Soda in Derby!! It’s fair to say there was a mixed response to our Nordic Noir book choice!!

This little monthly gathering is an absolute joy to put on… a great bunch of people and always some great conversations!

We’ll be kicking off again in 2026 on Tuesday 27th January, book choice to be determined soon.

First impressions are VERY favourable… lovely quality, looks great and the production quality is super! It’s packed with writers - I’m really excited to get reading!!

Ok… this is a BIG DEAL.

Published back in 2020, Seven Nights at the Flamingo Hotel by the unsurpassable was our first novel… and as a consequence of us going to into hibernation for a while, it’s sadly been out of print for some time.

NOT ANY LONGER!!!!

We’ve hit CTRL & P on a new run and have copies available again via our website or at our pop-ups, complete with super endorsements from 3 of my favourite writers (see photo 2).

Indie bookshops - this is a cult classic! Hit me up if you want a copy or two to adorn your beautiful shelves!!

Oh… some other news from Badger HQ - we’ve pressed CTRL+P to get a small run of the brilliant ‘Seven Nights at the Flamingo Hotel’ by back in print!! A book this good deserves to be available.

On a personal level I’m super proud to get this back out there - the new run will come complete with some stellar endorsements from a few of my favourite writers - absolutely blown away by this.

More details to follow… hopefully back from the printers in the next week or so! 🤞🏼
