We have lots of new followers recently, so I just wanted to say hello and welcome and introduce the Beverley Review.

The Beverley Review is a community service website run to give something useful back to the place I live.

There are no adverts or sponsored links, just community stories, arts and culture, people, local democracy and events from Beverley, Hull and the East Riding.

I started the site as a project to teach my kids how to code and it grew from there.

We aim to support small businesses, celebrate our local arts and heritage, understand our local politics and shine a light on the people who make a difference.

If you have a story, want to submit an article or something is happening in your area, you are always welcome to get in touch at [email protected]

Thanks for being here and supporting a little corner of local life.

A rough day today reporting on the incident at Cottingham Station , with lots of comments and messages. We just want to share this prayer.

"Heavenly Father, we pray today for all those struggling with mental health challenges. Please bring them peace and comfort in the midst of their struggles. Calm their hearts, relieve stress and anxiety, and surround them with Your presence that brings hope and rest."

We would also like to share this link to The Samaritans for anyone struggling right now, they are there online or by phone 24/7 https://www.samaritans.org/how-we-can-help/contact-samaritan/

Please share if you can.
