Reporting to the directors, you will be responsible for ensuring high levels of organisational effectiveness and communication. We require an 'all-rounder', flexible in attitude and happy to get stuck into any task. Previous experience within an office/mail order environment is essential. You should also have experience with a variety of office software and be able to accurately handle administrative duties. Knowledge of e-commerce software is an advantage but not essential. This is an important post in a small local business. We are village based near Bideford, so you'll need your own transport. Full CV required with application.
Responsibilities will include:
Promptly process, investigate or refund orders - work with our picking, cutting and packing staff to meet the daily postage deadline.
Check that all products listed are in stock, or 'out of stock' on website.
Order stock from suppliers to maintain levels and availability.
Take phone orders, and deal with customer phone queries.
Answer customer emails, seeking advice on specific problems or materials.
Add and remove products from the website, and ideally use social media to promote our business.
Take daily responsibility for the organisation of the workplace and stock storage.
