SmackDown Results - October 3, 2025 - Heritage Bank Center, Cincinnati, Ohio

The new-and-improved “WWE Then. Now. Forever. Together.” opening signature airs to get things started as always. We then shoot inside the Heritage Bank Center in Cincinnati, OH. where the commentators welcome us to this week’s show.

Legacy & The Vision Kick Things Off

We then hear the familiar sounds of the theme song for the Undisputed WWE Champion, which brings out “The American Nightmare” to get this week’s show officially off-and-running. Michael Cole and Booker T sing his praises as he settles in the ring.

Rhodes begins as always by asking what the fans want to talk about. Unfortunately, it was decided for him, as we hear it echoed as he says it by “The Oracle” himself, Paul Heyman. Heyman appears on the ring apron with Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed.

As he tries talking in intimidating fashion, Randy Orton slides into the ring and stands next to Rhodes. Heyman begins talking about how Cody is a hard man to get hold of. He isn’t answering his texts or e-mails. Fans chant “RKO!” over him.

Heyman sarcastically thanks them for their collective opinions. Heyman then goes on to pre-stir the pot between Rhodes and Orton. He tells them it is a prophecy, not a prediction, that the partnership between Rhodes and Orton can’t last. He drops the mic and walks off to end the segment.

Carmelo Hayes & The Miz Are Done

We see Tiffany Stratton walking into the building earlier today in an arrival shot. It seems like we’re seeing the same for Carmelo Hayes backstage, when The Miz walks up to him and the music stops. Miz asks Hayes if he’s gonna just walk past him.

Hayes tells Miz they are done. Miz asks if he heard that right. Hayes says he did and tells him he’s lucky, because he’s being nice about it. He tells The Miz in stern fashion that normally he shoots first in this kind of situation. He walks off as Miz glares at him.

WWE United States Championship (Open Challenge)
Sami Zayn (c) vs. Aleister Black

Back inside the arena, we hear the upbeat catchy entrance music for WWE United States Champion Sami Zayn. He makes his way to the ring for the first match of the evening. As he settles in the ring, we head to a quick pre-match commercial break.

When the show returns, we await to find out who will be the one to answer the open challenge from the U.S. Champion this week. Carmelo Hayes comes out but gets attacked by The Miz. Out comes Aleister Black. The crowd reacts as he settles in the ring for this impromptu title opportunity.

The bell sounds to get things officially off-and-running. The men lock up and Black is taken down with a couple arm drags. Black battles back by kicking Zayn in the face and then Black delivers some punches and kicks to Zayn in the corner. Zayn is taken down with a clothesline and then he’s kicked against the ropes.

Zayn kicks Black and Black takes down Zayn with a springboard moonsault and we get a commercial break. The US Championship Open Challenge continues on SmackDown and Black goes for a pin on Zayn and Zayn kicks out at two. Black kicks Zayn several times and Zayn combats this with some punches to Black.

Zayn is taken down by an elbow and covers Zayn for a two count. Black knees Zayn and both men trade punches in the middle of the ring. Zayn is headbutted into the corner and Black then kicks Zayn in the corner. Zayn flips it and gets Black in the corner and delivers a series of punches to Black.

Zayn knocks Black off the apron to the outside and Zayn hits a springboard moonsault to the outside onto Black. Black is tossed back in the ring, and Zayn then climbs the ropes. Zayn hits a Michinoku Driver on Black after jumping off the top rope and jumping over Black. Zayn overs and Black kicks out.

Black kicks Zayn and couple times and hits a bridging German Suplex and Zayn kicks out of the pin. Zayn goes for Blue Thunder Bomb and Black counters and kicks down Zayn and covers Zayn for a near fall. Black climbs the ropes and Zayn gets up in time to punch Black on the top rope.

He sends Black crashing down with a superplex and we cut to another commercial break. The show returns from a quick break, Black and Zayn are still at it. Zayn climbs the ropes and Black runs to him and kicks him while he’s perched on the top rope.

Zayn knocks Black off and jumps at Black and Zayn jumps down and Black kicks him mid air and covers for a near fall. Black kicks Zayn and Zayn comes back with chops. The two then exchange punches until Black gets Zayn in the corner and punches and kicks him. Black dodges a Helluva Kick and hits a meteora on Zayn and covers Zayn.

Zayn kicks out and both men are on the mat. Black gets on his feet and sees Damian Priest at ringside. Zayn uses the distraction and hits a Helluva Kick followed by a Blue Thunder Bomb to get the win. With the victory, Zayn remains your US Champion.

After the match, we see Damian Priest clear off the announce table and pull Black out of the ring. Priest throws Black into the announce table delivering a Razor’s Edge. Priest stands above a fallen Black and poses while the ref checks on Black.

Winner and STILL WWE United States Champion: Sami Zayn

Backstage With Nick Aldis

In a backstage segment from earlier this evening, we see Nick Aldis talking to Sol Ruca & Zaria. Chelsea Green and Alba Fyre come by and offers them a job. Ruca says they’ve beaten them before and don’t need a job but want a chance to battle for the tag titles. If they can’t do that tonight, they suggest a match against Green and Fyre.

Chelsea Green & Alba Fyre vs. Sol Ruca & Zaria

With that in mind, we return inside the Heritage Bank Center for our second match of the evening, which will be contested in the women’s tag-team division. The two teams make their respective entrances and the bell sounds to get things started.

Fyre and Zaria start the bout. Fyre gets Zaria in the corner, Zaria turns around and throws Fyre into the corner. Zaria kicks Fyre and then hits a choking half Nelson on Fyre on the ropes. Zaria comes off the ropes with a flying clotheslines and Green is then tagged in.

Green tries to take down Zaria but Zaria doesn’t let her and Ruca is tagged in. Green is stretched on the ropes, Zaria kicks Green and Ruca hits an X-Factor and gets a two count. Fyre is tagged in and Green trips Ruca and Fyre slams onto her.

Green is tagged in and Green takes out Ruca on the apron sending her crashing outside the ring. Green gets Ruca in the ring and covers for a two count. Green mounts Ruca and punches her out and then tags in Fyre. Green is tagged back in.

As she is, we see Ruca is double teamed. Green covers Ruca and Ruca kicks out. Green slaps Ruca and Zaria attacks Fyre outside the ring. Green gets distracted and the WWE Speed Women’s Champion hits her crowd-pleasing Sol Snatcher finisher for the 1-2-3.

Winners: Sol Ruca & Zaria

Backstage With Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss

Once the match wraps up, we shoot backstage where we see Cathy Kelley talking to WWE Women’s Tag-Team Champions Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss backstage. She asks them about Sol Ruca and Zaria having an impressive victory moments ago.

Bliss and Flair say they’re impressed and talk about being paired with someone unconventional. Flair and Bliss still won’t confirm if they’re friends which is vital information everyone needs to know apparently. Charlotte convinces Kelley to do the “WOOO!” We head to a break.

Backstage With Cody Rhodes & Randy Orton

Backstage, we see former Legacy members and teammates for later tonight, Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton talking among themselves. “The American Nightmare” reminds “The Viper” that he has his back and to disregard what Paul Heyman sai earlier. Orton says he knows that.

Tiffany Stratton & Stephanie Vaquer Sign Crown Jewel Contract

We return live inside the arena where SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis is in the ring for the advertised contract signing for the WWE Women’s Crown Jewel Championship match at the upcoming WWE Crown Jewel: Perth premium live event, which will feature a 3am EST. start time, with the main event hitting the ring at 6am EST. Yikes.

Aldis introduces Tiffany Stratton first and then introduces Stephanie Vaquer. Vaquer tells Stratton she respects her and that she’s a great champion. Vaquer says although she’s only been champ for two weeks she’ll show Stratton who she is and may the best woman win.

Stratton says she’s been waiting to step in the ring with her. Stratton says they’re two of the best, but at Crown Jewel only one woman will walk out victorious and it’ll be her because regardless of where in the world they are it’s always “Tiffy-Time.”

Stratton signs the contract and Vaquer signs after and they shake hands. Aldis finalizes the match and we are set for this showdown next week on Saturday. As Stratton makes her way back, Kiana James and Giulia attack her. James says they have a business proposal for Vaquer.

James says they know that Vaquer is a star but that Vaquer isn’t a superstar. James offers her services to Vaquer and says while her rates are high, the prestige she’ll receive is priceless. James says Giulia is already a better champ than Stratton because of her.

She claims she can make Vaquer the Crown Jewel Champion. By this time, Stratton gets to the ring and takes out James. Vaquer and Giulia are about to go at it and James gets Giulia out of the ring and they head to the back as Vaquer and Stratton stand tall in the ring to end the segment.

Je’Von Evans & Rey Fenix vs. Angel & Berto

We cut to a clip from earlier today where Je’Von Evans has just come out of a meeting with Nick Aldis. Rey Fenix congratulates Evans for his success. Berto and Angel from Los Garza come by and insult Evans and a match is set between the two teams.

Evans and Fenix make their way out to the ring as the show shifts gears and settles into a quick pre-match commercial break. When we return, both teams are in the ring and the bell sounds to get things officially off-and-running.

Kicking things off for their respective teams at the onset are Evans and Berto start, Evans with a springboard crossbody. Swinging kick from Berto drops Evans then he looks to try and take over with mounted strikes. They trade some strikes but Berto has the upper hand so far, Evans runs into a dropkick.

Hurricanrana from Evans, Angel blind tags and boots Evans then Angel lands a punch. Fenix jumps in and hits a double arm drag then dives with a corkscrew plancha onto Angel. Berto now dives onto Fenix, and Evans hits a monster dive of his own.

As the final dive is shown in a super-slow-motion replay, the show heads into a mid-match commercial break as the action in this tag-team tilt continues. When the show returns, we see Fenix gets tagged in and he runs around Angel but then is met with a huge knee by Angel who covers Fenix for a two count.

Angel collides with Fenix in the corner and then punches out Fenix in the corner. Fenix crawls through Angel’s legs and uppercuts him. Evans takes out Berto and Fenix kicks Angel and Angel catches Fenix. Berto comes in and places Evans onto Angel’s shoulders while he’s holding Fenix and Berto hits a springboard kick knocking off Evans.

In the ring, Angel clobbers Fenix. Fenix hits a jawbreaker and kicks Angel. Angel runs at Fenix and clotheslines Fenix flat onto his back. Evans and Berto are tagged in, they trade kicks and Evans jumos out onto Angel taking out the camera man.

From there, Evans rolls up Berto for a near fall. Evans hits a flying kick and Angel breaks the pin. Evans kicks Angel and Fenix is tagged in. Fenix kicks Berto and then sits him on the top rope. Evans takes out Angel and Fenix hits the MMB for the 1-2-3.

Backstage With Damian Priest

Cathy Kelley talks to Damian Priest backstage. Priest says he’s the consequences that people have to face when they’re out of line and that’s why he took out Aleister Black. Kit Wilson comes wheeling in sitting in a wheelchair to tell Priest something.

Wilson tells Priest that enticing fear into people isn’t masculine and that he’ll show Priest what masculinity is. Priest wheels Wilson into some pipes in the latest brutality towards the Pretty Deadly member. Priest then challenges Aleister Black to a Last Man Standing match for next week.

Solo Sikoa Family Update

In a pre-recorded video package-type segment, we hear the latest update from Solo Sikoa, who talks about Talla Tonga. He tells him to unleash the monster in him. Tonga says he loves Sikoa and Sikoa says there is something the family needs and then everyone will be on notice.

Backstage With The Street Profits & B-Fab

Cathy Kelley talks to The Street Profits and B-Fab backstage. Kelley asks if Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins are on the same page. They say they are and next week they’ll dethrone The Wyatt Sicks and that they’ll be fighting for each other.

The screen behind them glitches out, Wyatt Sicks-style. We then see The Wyatt Sicks show up on the screen and tell them their house is burning and while The Street Profits are confident, will they still be family? The brief segment wraps up there.

Cody Rhodes & Randy Orton vs. Bron Breakker & Bronson Reed

It’s main event time!

We return inside the arena where after the match graphics flash on the screen promoting the early lineup for next week’s show, we switch gears and get ready for our final match of the evening, a big tag-team showdown pitting Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton against The Vision duo of Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed.

Both teams make their respective ring walks and then the bell sounds to get things officially off-and-running. Kicking things off for their respective teams at the onset is Breakker and Orton. Orton gets Breakker in the corner and roughs him up straight out of the gate.

Orton mounts Breakker in the corner and delivers 10 punches and then clotheslines Breakker over the ropes to the outside on the floor at ringside. On that note, we see a replay as the show shifts gears again and heads into a mid-match commercial break as the action continues.

When we return, we see footage of Orton being slammed on the commentary desk by Reed during the break. Back live, Reed is choking Orton down to one knee. Fans chant “Randy! Randy!” to rally behind “The Viper,” who makes it back to his feet.

Reed looks for a spear in the corner, but Orton moves and Reed blasts the post with his arm. Orton then finally makes the much-needed tag to the fresh Rhodes. “The American Nightmare” takes the hot tag and comes in beating up anything that moves.

Rhodes hits a big dive to the floor and comes back in the ring still full of energy. The fans start doing the “Cody Rhodes! Cody, Cody Rhoooodes! Cody Rhoooodes!” sing-style chant as he continues with explosive offense. A minute or two later, Cody is slowed down and The Vision duo take back over.

As Breakker goes to work on Rhodes, the show heads into another mid-match commercial break as the main event of the evening continues inside the Heritage Bank Center. The show returns and after Cody and Orton take over again, Seth Rollins gets involved. A Stomp leads to a Tsunami for the win for The Vision.

Once the match wraps up, however, we learn that things are far from over this evening. Paul Heyman looks pleased with how things played out. As he and Rollins are walking to the back, Rollins stops. Heyman tells Rollins not to do what he’s thinking of doing.

“The Oracle” yells at “The Visionary.” He tells him, “He’s in your head, don’t do it!” Rollins goes for another Stomp on Cody, who counters and hits Cross-Rhodes to leave him laying. That’s how this week’s show goes off the air. Thanks for joining us!

Winners: Bron Breakker & Bronson Reed

Starting things off this week is a pi**ed off “Mami,” as Rhea Ripley’s “This is My Brutality” theme hits to bring out the women’s mega-star to a mega-crowd reaction from the Raleigh fans. She then brings up what took place at the end of last week’s show.

The scene saw Asuka and her Kabuki Warriors partner Kairi Sane turn on former fellow Damage CTRL member IYO SKY, just as Ripley warned SKY to watch out for. Iyo Sky comes out and says she knows Ripley warned her, but she loved them. And she still loves them.

Asuka and Kairi Sane appear on the tron. Sane does not appear to be on board with Asuka. Asuka says it’s up to them what happens next. She taught Sky everything she knew. She mentored her and paved the way for her. Now she acts like none of what she did matters. Sky acts like Rhea Ripley is her family now, but she isn’t.

Asuka made Sky who she is. Asuka made her a champion. Now, she acts like she’s forgotten her. Asuka says she loves Sky, so she’ll forgive her if she apologizes to her. She can be like Sane and be her student. Sane says they can be a family again. Asuka says it’s too late for Ripley.

Ripley says Asuka can go to hell. Sky looks conflicted with tears welling in her eyes. Ripley tells Sky to trust her. She’s been burned by family before. Sky can’t go back to them after what they’ve done. Sky looks troubled. Ripley puts a hand on her shoulder.

Sky says, “I’m sorry, Rhea. I need time. I need time!” Sky starts to cry as she leaves the ring. The Kabuki Warriors attack Ripley from behind. Sky sobs as she watches Asuka and Kairi Sane double-team Ripley. Sky has seen enough and throws Asuka off Ripley. Sane stands between Asuka and Sky.

Sane tries to reason with her. Sane gets on her knees to beg Sky. As she does, Asuka hits Sky in the face with the Blue Mist! Sane is shocked that Asuka did that. Ripley attacks Asuka, but Sane pulls her off. Ripley headbutts Sane and goes for the Riptide, but Asuka kicks her. They send Ripley shoulder-first twice into the ring post.

Sky is writhing in pain. Asuka and Sane hit Ripley with spinning back fists. Asuka puts Ripley in the Asuka Lock and holds her as Sane hits the InSane Elbow! The Kabuki Warriors stand tall as the crowd boos. WWE officials run down to separate them. Sky is covered in the Blue Mist. We head to a break.

WWE Intercontinental Championship
Dominik Mysterio (c) vs. Rusev

When the show returns, Rusev’s theme hits the house speakers and “The Bulgarian Brute” makes his way to the ring, as WWE Intercontinental Championship action will be kicking things off on this week’s show. The challenger settles in the ring.

As he does, highlights are shown of his match with JD McDonagh from last week, with Dominik Mysterio freezing up as he was being attacked post-match, leading to Finn Balor having to run out and make the save. Back live, his music dies down.

Now the entrance tune for the reigning and defending WWE Intercontinental Champion hits and out comes “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio with other members of The Judgment Day by his side and trailing behind him, as he carries his I-C and AAA Mega Championship titles.

WWE ring announcer Alicia Taylor handles the final formal pre-match ring introductions for the champion and the challenger, and it is clear that the Raleigh fans are going to be a pro-Dom and anti-Rusev crowd, at least from the start.

The bell sounds and we’re officially off-and-running with this opening title tilt. After a minute-or-two of basic opening action, the show shifts gears and settles into a quick mid-match commercial break as the match continues inside the Lenovo Center.

From the onset, we see the champ grab his best hold, a wasit-lock. Rusev easily slings him off, so Mysterio gets out of the ring to rethink his strategy. Rusev chases him into the ring. Mysterio stomps and punches Rusev as he gets in the ring. Mysterio hits the ropes and hits a forearm, but Rusev absorbs it.

Mysterio hits the ropes again, but Rusev follows him in and avalanches him. Rusev hits a fallaway slam, followed by a head-and-arm suplex. Rusev hits a second head-and-arm suplex. Mysterio retreats to the corner, so Rusev pulls him up and punches him down. Rusev throws him into the ropes.

He charges after him, but Mysterio pulls the top rope down to get him out of the ring. Mysterio knocks him off the apron and goes for a plancha, but Rusev hits him with a fall-away slam over the commentary table. On that note, we shift gears and head into a mid-match commercial break as the action continues.

When the show returns, we see Mysterio knee his way out of a submission hold. Mysterio hits a jawbreaker and hits the ropes. Mysterio ducks a pair of clotheslines and hits a running hurricanrana. Mysterio avalanches him in the corner. Rusev reverses a whip to the opposite corner, but Mysterio twists out of the way.

Mysterio snaps Rusev off the top rope and hits a slingshot somersault plancha for a one-count. The crowd is really into Mysterio. Mysterio hooks Rusev’s head and sets up for the Three Amigos, but he can’t get Rusev off his feet. Rusev charges, but Mysterio drops him into position.

Mysterio hits the ropes for a 619, but Rusev turns him inside out with a clothesline. The crowd boos Rusev as he stomps the mat to signal for the Accolade. Mysterio rolls out of the ring to avoid it. Rusev follows him out, so Mysterio drives him ribs-first into the ring steps.

Mysterio gets him in the ring and hits him with a 619 to the ribs. Mysterio puts him in position and hits another 619, this time to the face. Mysterio goes to the top rope for a Frog Splash, but Rusev moves. Rusev sizes up the Intercontinental Champion and connects with a Matchka Kick! 1… 2… Mysterio kicks out.

Rusev is irate and screams that it is over. Rusev goes for the Accolade, but Mysterio slides out of the ring. Mysterio grabs his titles and starts to walk off. Rusev stops him and throws him into the ring with the titles. The referee takes the AAA Mega Championship away from Rusev.

As he does, Mysterio hits him with the Intercontinental Championship. Rusev no-sells it, so Mysterio tosses it to him and takes a bump, the old Eddie Guerrero “lie, cheat, and steal” move! The referee isn’t buying it. Mysterio begs the referee in the corner.

As he does, Rusev grabs him. Mysterio catches Rusev with a mule kick low blow and rolls him up for the win. The referee couldn’t see it since he was pressed in the corner. Rusev is furious as Mysterio retreats up the ramp with his titles celebrating in victory.

Winner and STILL WWE Intercontinental Champion: Dominik Mysterio

Backstage With Adam Pearce, LA Knight & The New Day

Once the title tilt wraps up, we shoot backstage where we see WWE Raw General Manager Adam Pearce is in his office talking with LA Knight. Pearce is trying to convince Knight not to get involved in the Tornado Tag Match. Knight says he doesn’t care about that match because he wants the World Title. He’s the last man to beat Seth Rollins.

The New Day bursts into the room. Knight tries to dismiss them, but Kofi Kingston says he’s a former World Champion and tells him to let the adults talk. Knight says he’ll drop Kingston tonight and walks off. Kingston says he won’t because he doesn’t make matches, but Pearce makes it official. We head to another break.

History Of Cody Rhodes & Seth Rollins Rivalry

An extended video package airs showing the history of their rivalry.

Bayley vs. Raquel Rodriguez

After the package wraps up, we see highlights of what went down between Bayley and Lyra Valkyria over the past couple of weeks, with Bayley being overly friendly and downright mean at times. We return live where the two meet up backstage and Valkyria tells Bayley she’s out of second chances with her.

Bayley walks on as her theme music hits inside the Lenovo Center. The women’s wrestling veteran emerges for advertised singles action against Raquel Rodriguez of The Judgment Day. As she settles inside the squared circle, the show shifts gears and heads into a pre-match commercial break.

Bayley starts to snap and knees Rodriguez in the face before punching away at her. Bayley hits Perez with a swinging back suplex before hitting Rodriguez with a clothesline over the top rope. A furious Bayley looks back at Valkyria before cackling and helping Valkyria up. Bayley shouts, “Come on, you idiot! Let’s get ’em! Good job!”

Backstage With The Usos

A video package with highlights from last week’s show of Jey Uso beating LA Knight and then leaving him for dead with The Vision, only for Jimmy Uso to ultimately make the save. Back live, we shoot backstage where we see “Main Event” Jey Uso himself.

He is pacing when his brother, Jimmy Uso, walks up to him. Jimmy asks him about what happened last week, referring to the highlights we just saw. Jey says helping LA Knight will get them nowhere. He cost them their match at WrestlePalooza.

Jey says they will no longer help Knight. If he spent less time helping Knight, he’d be World Champion again. That’s something that Jimmy knows nothing about. Jey realizes what he just said and redirects, saying they’ll handle The Vision tonight.

Kairi Sane Still Hopeful Iyo Sky & Asuka Will Make-Up

WWE officials are checking on Iyo Sky in the medical room in a brief backstage segment. Kairi Sane walks in and begs Sky to apologize to Asuka. She says that they can still be friends. Sky tells her to leave her alone. Sane looks sad. She hands them a photo of them with Asuka in happier times.

LA Knight vs. Kofi Kingston

Back live inside the Lenovo Center, the radio screech hits and then the familiar sounds of LA Knight’s theme music plays. Out comes “The Mega Star” for the next match of the evening. As he does, we shift gears and head into a quick pre-match commercial break.

When the show returns, we see Kofi Kingston finishing up his ring entrance, with Xavier Woods by his side. The bel sounds and we’re officially off-and-running with our next match of the evening. Kingston shoves Knight to get things started. Knight shoves him back.

Backstage With Seth Rollins, Becky Lynch, Maxxine Dupri & Akira Tozawa

Once the match wraps up, we shoot behind-the-scenes for a double backstage segment. First, we see Akira Tozawa and Maxxine Dupri walking. Tozawa tells Dupri he’s proud. Becky Lynch comes by and tells Dupri that she’s useless and is 5’9 inches of disappointment.

Dupri tells Lynch that AJ Lee is better than her and Lynch smacks Tozawa for laughing at the comment. Dupri gets in Lynch’s face for attacking Tozawa and then Lynch beats up Dupri and walks to Seth Rollins. Rollins asks Lynch if she feels better.

“The Man” responds and simply says, “A little.” She then asks how he’s doing. He says he’s about to find out. Rollins heads to the ring and Lynch asks if he wants her to come with him and he says he needs to do this on his own. We head to another break.

Seth Rollins And Cody Rhodes Talk WWE Crown Jewel Showdown

When the show returns, we hear the familiar sounds of “Burn it down!” The theme for Seth Rollins hits and the usual accompanying fire pyro erupts as the reigning WWE World Heavyweight Champion and leader of The Vision makes his way to the ring.

As Rollins settles in the ring, Barrett is on commentary talking us through a live ad-read for the upcoming WWE Crown Jewel: Perth premium live event, complete with the official Rollins-Rhodes match graphic flashing on the screen. Back live, Rollins’ theme winds down and he begins talking.

Rollins looks down at the watch that Cody Rhodes gave him following their epic string of matches in 2022. Rollins questioned the intentions of the watch last week on Raw. Rollins listens to the crowd sing his song. Before Rollins can speak, a loud “CM Punk” chant picks up. Rollins goes to speak again, but he’s stopped by an “OTC” chant. The crowd then starts to sing Cody Rhodes’ name.

Rollins says, “Cody Rhodes versus Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins.” Rhodes has three wins, and Rollins has three losses. Rhodes thinks that bothers him, but it doesn’t because it doesn’t matter. Those matches were in the past. Those versions of Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins are in the past.

Those were men trying to reach the top. What matters is Crown Jewel because now you’ve got two men at the very top with the WWE Championship and the World Heavyweight Championship. They will go one-on-one at Crown Jewel. The winner of that match won’t just win the Crown Jewel Championship.

The winner will shape the next ten to twenty years of the industry’s future. The thing that Rollins doesn’t understand is that there are some people out in the crowd and watching at home who want Cody Rhodes. A “Cody” chant picks up. The people who sing for him want Rhodes to win that match.

They think Rhodes should lead this company into the future. They believe he’s the quarterback of the WWE. Rollins asks if they’ve lost their minds. Rollins is the one to lead this industry into the future. Rollins has done everything right. He stayed here when times got tough.

He brought this company into its golden age. He’s taken two young men, Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker, and taken them under his wing, giving them his knowledge to secure their place at the top. Rollins has done it all. Rollins has tried to rid this place of cancers like Roman Reigns and CM Punk.

Still, they chant for Cody Rhodes. We then hear, “Wrestling has more than one royal family.” Undisputed WWE Champion “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes makes his way to the ring. Rhodes takes his time getting to the ring and removes his jacket. The crowd sings to Rhodes, so he pauses. Rollins looks disconnected.

Rhodes asks what Rollins is talking about. The future of the industry seems a bit much. They don’t have control over that. The people do. This isn’t something they can control. Rollins can bring Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed under his wing, but he can’t control them. They appeared on SmackDown, which isn’t their show.

Rhodes doesn’t think Rollins sent them. He thinks Mr. Heyman did. When it comes to Rollins’ own group, who is in control? Rollins says every decision goes through him. Rollins sent them to SmackDown. Rhodes didn’t receive the message on Raw, so he sent them to SmackDown to see if they could get the message through his brain.

Rhodes asks if he was the one who allowed Mr. Heyman to announce Brock Lesnar. Rollins looks conflicted about that. Rollins smirks and reiterates that every decision runs through him. The crowd chants something, so Rollins yells at them that he’s the reason they’re here. Rhodes says he’s trying to have fun here.

They should just strip this down to what it’s supposed to be about. The Crowd Jewel Championship in Perth, Australia. The WWE Champion against the World Heavyweight Champion. It could be that simple. Rhodes would like to think where they’d be in twenty years.

Will they be sitting in the back, talking to the future of the industry, and reminiscing about their matches? It could be wishful thinking. Rhodes remembers Rollins standing there to help him win at WrestleMania 40. Everything was forgiven. He thought Rollins was his friend. Rollins yells at him to shut up.

Rollins says, “I was never your friend.” The was a means to an end. At WrestleMania 40, Rhodes was the lesser of two evils. That little scenario about the future will never happen. They’ll never be friends. Rollins will never shake Rhodes’ hand, call him the better man, or his equal.

What he will do is cleanse the timeline. At Crown Jewel, everything that happened between them is dead. After Crown Jewel, Rollins will write a new future. There is only one person who will lead that Vision. He says the person that will do that is Seth “Freakin'” Rollins. He walks off to end the explosive segment.

AJ Styles & Dragon Lee vs. Los Americanos

AJ Styles, who will face John Cena for the final time at WWE Crown Jewel, will be in tag team action next. On that note, we head to a pre-match commercial break. When the show returns, Dragon Lee is in the ring with AJ Styles. Lee says it’s an honor to share the ring with AJ Styles. They are fire. They are unstoppable.

Last week, Lee became the No. 1 Contender for the AAA Mega Championship. That means he’s coming for Dominik Mysterio. Styles says they have something special going on. Maybe they can win some titles. Styles hopes Lee will kick Mysterio’s teeth in. Styles has a match at Crown Jewel, thanks to the fans.

The match is against John Cena. Styles thanks the crowd because he gets to do something he loves: he gets to beat up John Cena. Tonight, they’ll kick Los Americanos’ asses. Bravo Americano starts against Dragon Lee. Lee sends Bravo into the ropes and counters a sunset flip attempt with a double stomp.

Los Americanos quickly crotch Lee into the ring post and hit them with stereo dropkicks. On that note, we shift gears and head into a mid-match commercial break. When the show returns, we see Los Americanos double-team Lee. Bravo takes it to Lee, but Lee eventually gets away.

With that said, the reigning WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton from the blue brand of WWE SmackDown appears and confronts “La Primera.” The WWE Women’s Champion says she’s not going to lose to someone who has been on top for two weeks. At Crown Jewel, it’s “Tiffy Time.”

Tornado Tag Main Event (WrestlePalooza Rematch)
The Usos vs. The Vision

It’s main event time!

A group of fans surrounds The Usos in one of the concourses up top as always. A modified version of Jey Uso’s theme song (“Been down since …day one ish” instead of “Just me Uce, day one ish”). They make their crowd-friendly entrance as the show heads to a quick pre-match commercial break.

When the show returns, we see The Vision duo of Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed is backstage in the Gorilla Position with “The Oracle” Paul Heyman. WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins looks to be in a trance. Paul Heyman asks if he’s ok. Rollins desperately says he has to beat him.

Heyman goes to affirm him, but Rollins stops him from speaking. Rollins says, “No, Paul. I have to beat him.” Heyman looks concerned before leaving to accompany Bron Breakker and “Big” Bronson Reed to the ring. Jey Uso catches The Vision with a plancha as they make their entrance.

Jey sends Reed into the ring post. Breakker attacks Jimmy in the ring and shoulders him in the corner. Jimmy slingshots over him and kicks him in the midsection before hitting an uppercut. Jimmy presses Breakker into the corner, and Jey avalanches him. Reed runs in, and the Usos go back and forth punching him.

They do some theatrics before punching Reed down in the corner. Reed and Breakker are seated in opposite corners. The Usos get the crowd going and hit them with running hip attacks. The Usos then hit Breakker with a clothesline over the top rope. They hit the ropes, but Reed pulls them out of the ring.

Jey gets in the ring, and Breakker clotheslines him down. Breakker punches Jey as Reed takes it to Jimmy at ringside. Breakker knocks Jey out of the ring and sizes Jimmy up. Jey kicks Breakker off the apron. Jimmy sends Breakker over the barricade. Reed thwarts a su***de dive from Jey and sends him into the ring steps.

Reed blocks a kick from Jimmy and clears the commentary table. Reed sets up for a Jagged Edge on Jimmy on the commentary table. Jimmy slides off and superkicks Reed off the table. Breakker then dives off the barricade with a diving clothesline on Jimmy through the commentary table. We head to a mid-match break on that note.

When the show returns, we see Jey is trying to defend himself against The Vision, but they’re overwhelming him. Jimmy is still down in the wreckage of the table. Reed rips Jey’s shirt off as Breakker talks trash to the camera. Breakker rips at Jey’s face. Reed sends Jey to the corner, but Jey boots him back.

Jey kicks Breakker and goes to the second rope. Reed catches a crossbody attempt and hits a World’s Strongest Slam. Reed pulls Jey up as Breakker hits the ropes at a wild speed for a clothesline. The Vision hits an Electric Chair Bulldog combo. Breakker positions Jey as Reed heads to the top rope.

Jimmy pops up and pushes Reed off the ropes. Jimmy superkicks Breakker, ducks a clothesline, and hits a WILD pop-up Samoan Drop. Jimmy heads to the top rope, but Reed pulls him down for a Jagged Edge. Breakker then hits Jey with a huge Spear. They stack The Usos on each other as Reed heads to the top rope.

Before anything else happens, however, we hear the familiar sounds of Roman Reigns’ theme music. The crowd reacts so loud that you literally, and I mean literally, cannot hear a single note of “The OTC” entrance tune playing in the backgroubd.

Reigns emerges with a steel chair in-hand and the already insanely loud reaction somehow grows even louder. This is near all-time level stuff. The commentators remind us that we haven’t seen Roman Reigns since the beating at Clash in Paris.

Reigns hits Breakker with a back body drop over the top rope and squares off against “The Tribal Thief” Bronson Reed. Reigns hits Reed in the midsection with the chair and smacks it off his back twice, knocking him out of the ring. Reigns follows him out of the ring.

He smashes him with the chair twice, knocking him over the barricade. Breakker tries to attack Reigns, but Reigns hits him with the chair. The crowd is loudly buzzing for Reigns. Jimmy superkicks Breakker before Jey hits him with a Spear. The Usos head to the top rope on opposite sides.

They hit Breakker with a double Uso Splash! Jey covers for the win. Reigns quickly gets in the ring and smashes the edge of the chair into the sternum of Breakker. Reigns then smashes it on his back to knock him out of the ring. Reigns stands tall in the ring and embraces Jey. Reigns gets him fired up as Jimmy Uso watches on. The show ends.
