Raw Results - August 18, 2025 - Xfinity Mobile Arena, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

“WWE Then. Now. Forever. Together.” is the first thing we hear as always.

Seth Rollins & The Vision Kick Things Off

Inside the arena, we hear “Burn it down!” and out comes Seth Rollins with “The Oracle” Paul Heyman and the rest of The Vision faction. The group settles in the ring to kick off this week’s show. Heyman gets on the microphone and says he’s God in the city of Philadelphia.

“They would have a statue of me in this city, but I’m way too humble to accept the credit that I do deserve, both here in Philly, and everywhere else in front of the camera and behind the scenes. I am the G.O.A.T,” Heyman says, before pointing out he’s not the only G.O.A.T. in the ring right now.

Heyman does some more boasting and then long, braggadocios introductions for Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed and Seth Rollins. Before Rollins can get a word in, Jey Uso interrupts him and gets the whole arena YEET’ing for the rest of the show. Uso puts the mic up to a bunch of kids in the crowd and they all say YEET, too.

Uso says he’s tired of hearing Heyman and Rollins talk. He says Breakker is a little puppy dog and talks about beating Breakker. Rollins tries to get Breakker riled up and Breakker goes to attack Uso in the crowd but is held back by Reed and Rollins. Heyman suggests they handle this in the ring and Uso agrees to an extreme rules match.

Iyo Sky vs. Raquel Rodriguez

Backstage, we see Iyo Sky talking with The Kabuki Warriors duo of Asuka and Kairi Sane, telling them she wants to do this by herself. She wants to win back the title alone. She heads out to the ring for the opening match as the show heads to commercial.

When the show returns, Raquel Rodriguez is in the ring with Sky, and the bell sounds to get things officially off-and-running. Roxanne Perez is shown in Rodriguez’s corner at ringside. Rodriguez slams Sky down with authority after Sky got off to a strong start.

Rodriguez settles into a commanding offensive lead from there, controlling the action and keeping it slow-paced and in her favor in the early goings. Sky starts to fight back, but a distraction from Perez at ringside leads to Rodriguez turning her inside-out with a big boot.

On that note, we shift gears and head into a mid-match commercial break as the action in this women’s one-on-one opener continues. When the show returns, we see the same thing happen, only this time Sky hits a splash onto Perez on the floor, and then hit Rodriguez with Over The Moonsault for the win.

After the match wraps up, we see Rodriguez and Perez immediately attack and double-team Sky. This continues until we hear the familiar sounds of, “This is My Brutality.” Rhea Ripley runs down to make the save. She clears the ring and she and Sky stand tall.

Winner: Iyo Sky

CM Punk Confronts LA Knight

We see CM Punk confront LA Knight during a backstage interview with Jackie Redmond, leading to Punk telling him they need to get on the same page, only for Knight to boast about giving him knuckle sandwiches for trying to get involved in his business last week.

$18,000 Hat Match
Xavier Woods vs. Penta

Inside the arena, The New Day theme hits. Out comes Xavier Woods for one-on-one action, with Kofi Kingston by his side. As they head to the ring, the show shifts gears and settles into a quick pre-match commercial break. When the show returns, we see a quick backstage segment.

Iyo Sky comes through the curtain and is scolded by The Kabuki Warriors for allowing Rhea Ripley to help her, but not them. They yell at each other in Japanese like crazy people and go their separate ways. Back inside the arena, Penta makes his ring entrance, complete with pyro, for this one-on-one bout.

The bell sounds to get things officially off-and-running. Penta takes the early offensive lead, bringing the crowd to its’ feet in the process. The commentators talk about the $18,000 hat-cost at stake in this one. Woods takes over and yells into the camera, “Give me my 18-grand!” The show heads to a mid-match break.

When the show returns, we see Penta on the defensive, but not for long. He begins fighting back into the offensive lead. He ends up climbing up to the top of the ring post and leaping, taking out Woods and Kingston on the floor. Back in the ring, Woods begins fighting back.

Again, this doesn’t last long, as Penta begins taking over again. He seems to have things wrapped up, as he covers Woods, but Kingston puts Woods’ foot on the ropes to save him. Penta pops up and runs and leaps over the ropes, splashing onto Kingston.

Penta comes back into the ring and Woods immediately rolls him up, but Penta kicks out. Penta fights back and connects with the Mexican Destroyer. He goes for the follow-up pin attempt and scores the three-count for the victory. He avoids a post-match attack attempt and walks off in victory.

Winner: Penta

Mr. Iguana & Dragon Lee vs. The Judgment Day

It’s time for tag-team action. After we see highlights from AAA TripleMania ###III, we see a digital exclusive post-show segment with Rey Mysterio confronting Dominik Mysterio backstage. The commentators plug Dom vs. El Hijo del Vikingo for WWE x AAA Worlds Collide.

From there, The Judgment Day theme hits to bring out the first team for our next match of the evening, which will feature the aforementioned AAA Mega Champion El Hijo del Vikingo, and his partner, Dragon Lee. First, we head to a quick pre-match break.

When the show returns, we see some Philadelphia Eagles players in the crowd as the commentators mention a special start time of 3pm EST. / 12 Noon PST. for next week’s WWE Raw on Monday, August 25, in Birmingham, England. The bell sounds and off we go.

Dragon Lee and JD McDonagh kick things off for their respective teams. Dominik Mysterio is shown at ringside in The Judgment Day duo’s corner. Dragon Lee starts off well and Mr. Iguana tags in. He crawls around like an iguana, and the crowd loves it, but then focuses on sing-chanting for “Dirty” Dom.

Iguana and Dragon Lee each hit dives from the ring to the floor in back-to-back fashion. We see the super slow-motion replay and then shift gears and head into a mid-match commercial break as this tag-team tilt continues in “The City of Brotherly Love.”

The show returns and we see McDonagh isolating Dragon Lee, keeping him from making a much-needed tag to Mr. Iguana, as The Judgment Day are now clearly in the offensive lead. McDonagh hits a wild Poisonrana but Dragon Lee counters moments later into a sit-out powerbomb.

After some fun with La Yeska, Mr. Iguana takes over upon getting the tag. This doesn’t remain for long, however, as “Dirty” Dom gets involved, leading to Balor hitting a top-rope Coup de Grace for the pinfall victory. After the match, Dom, Balor and McDonagh attack until El Hijo del Vikingo runs out. He ends up getting beat down, too.

Winners: The Judgment Day

Heel Bayley Transformation Continues

From there, we shoot to the desk where the commentators show depressed Bayley updates from social media. The depression updates seem to transition into heel turn updates.

Bayley’s inner-voice in her heard is yelling at her like the devil on her shoulder, while the real Bayley yells out responses. It would fit right in with The Wyatt Sicks, for the record.

WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship
Becky Lynch (c) vs. Natalya

We see footage of Becky Lynch vs. Maxxine Dupri from last week, and then “The Man” is interviewed live backstage. After she delivers a quick pre-match message to Natalya, we see Nattie walking backstage with Alpha Academy. Their title tilt is up next.

On that note, the show shifts gears and settles into a quick pre-match commercial break. The show returns to the latest obligatory Canelo Alvarez vs. Terence Crawford plug for September 13th on Netflix. We then see Snickers is presenting tonight’s Raw.

Back inside the arena, the theme for Natalya hits, and out she comes accompanied by Maxxine Dupri and Akira Tozawa. She is all smiles and happy as she settles inside the squared circle for her big championship opportunity against “Big Time Becks.”

Speaking of which, the new theme led by The Wonder Years plays next to bring out the reigning and defending WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion. The bell sounds and off we go. After some initial back-and-forth offense, we see Nattie doing well.

Things start to shift a bit, however, as we head into a quick mid-match commercial break. When the show returns, we see Nattie favoring one of her arms after she was slammed into the ring post by Lynch. Lynch locks in the DisArmHer armbar on the bad arm. Nattie gets out, but Lynch slaps it back on for the win.

After the match, Lynch refuses to let go of the hold. This brings out Nikki Bella. The two brawl and have a wild pull-apart.

Winner and STILL WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion: Becky Lynch

Good Old Fashioned Donnybrook Announced For Clash In Paris

Jackie Redmond is backstage with Sheamus. She asks about the chaos with Rusev. Sheamus says Rusev didn’t consider running into him with his WWE return. Rusev shows up, but they’re immediately separated.

Raw General Manager Adam Pearce says he’s had enough. They’ll get it out of their system for the final time at WWE Clash in Paris in a Good Ol’ Fashioned Donnybrook Match! Pearce screams that he needs a drink.

Backstage With CM Punk & ‘Main Event’ Jey Uso

“Main Event” Jey Uso is getting pumped up when CM Punk walks up. Punk says they need to work together. Uso has an Extreme Rules match against “The Paw Patrol.” Punk says he has Uso’s back. Uso says he didn’t ask for his help and doesn’t need it for this match.

Punk says in Paris, it’s about the World Heavyweight Championship. This is about getting to Paris. Uso says he doesn’t want to owe anyone any favors. Punk says he’s just letting him know he’s here. Uso walks off as Punk shakes his head.

Naomi Is Pregnant

When the show returns, we shoot to a special clip from Stephanie McMahon’s “What’s Your Story” podcast, which shows Jimmy Uso and Naomi announcing that Naomi is pregnant. Back live inside the arena, Raw General Manager Adam Pearce introduces Naomi. The WWE Women’s World Champion comes to the ring.

Fans are happy for her. Pearce is, too. Naomi isn’t happy with Pearce, though, as she assumes he’s there to take her title. She orders him to leave the ring. She jokes about Jimmy Uso liking to “Netflix and chill” and jokes about The Bloodline keeping going because of them. Fans then chant “Baby Uso!”

She then leaves her title laying in the middle of the ring and says she’ll be back in nine months or so to take this back from whoever is holding it when that time comes.

The commentators then mention how there will likely be an update on plans for the WWE Women’s World Championship next week on WWE Raw, which features a special start-time of 3pm EST. / Noon PST.

Backstage With The Judgment Day & El Grande Americano

We then shoot backstage, where we see The Judgment Day walking the halls, wondering where Dominik Mysterio is. They find him talking to El Grande Americano. Americano walks off.

Finn Bálor asks what that was about. Mysterio says he was trying to make sure the Judgment Day is always on top. They walk off, leaving Bálor looking confused and concerned.

Extreme Rules
Bron Breakker vs. ‘Main Event’ Jey Uso

It’s main event time!

There is a shopping cart full of weapons at ringside, a tribute to the late New Jack here in the home of the original Extreme Championship Wrestling — Philadelphia, PA. The two men make their respective entrances and then this one gets officially off-and-running.

Breakker says, “I’ll murder you,” and goes to work. Uso blocks a punch and punches Breakker to the corner. Uso gets on the middle rope and starts to punch him. Breakker fights out and turns him around before hitting some shoulder thrusts to the midsection.

Breakker puts Uso in the corner and punches away at him in the corner. Uso fights Breakker off and clotheslines him over the top rope, landing him on the shopping cart full of weapons. The crowd chants, “We want tables!” Breakker is having trouble getting to his feet.

Uso goes under the ring for a table. Breakker painfully pulls himself into the ring, so Uso punches him down. Uso punches him out of the ring and hits the ropes for a su***de dive. On that note, we shift gears and head into a mid-match commercial break.

When the show returns, we see Breakker continuing to dominate, while also continuing to sell his leg. Heyman tells him they’ll deal with it later. The commentators say Heyman uses Breakker like his own personal Frankenstein. Uso begins taking over. After a big trash can spot, we head into another mid-match break.

The action continues when we return, with Breakker sprinting right into a spear from Uso. Uso seemed to have things wrapped up, when Bronson Reed hits the ring to attack. The commentators point out this is legal in an Extreme Rules match. LA Knight comes out to help, but Seth Rollins also attacks.

Rollins reaches under the ring for some more weapons, but as he does, the radio screech for CM Punk’s theme hits. He runs out to the ring to help, and his music dies down quickly, but the fans keep singing loudly acapella. Punk ends up cleaning house and accidentally sending Knight through a table.

He shrugs his shoulders and chases Rollins through the crowd to the back. Meanwhile, Breakker sets up another table in the ring as Uso starts to come to life as well. Fans loudly chant “OTC! OTC!” expecting a Roman Reigns appearance. Uso super kicks Breakker and lays him on the table.

Reed ends up knocking Uso off the top before he can do anything. With Knight still out, and Punk gone chasing Rollins in the back, it’s Breakker and Reed teaming up on Uso by himself. That is, however, until the familiar sounds of Roman Reigns’ theme hits.

Breakker, still on the floor, stands in the aisle waiting for “The OTC,” only to turn around and see Reigns standing behind him. Reigns runs through Breakker with a spear. He rolls Breakker into the ring. Uso super kicks him.

After that, Uso lays Breakker out across the table in the corner. He then climbs and hits a top-rope Uso Splash through the table for the win. Reigns and Uso stand tall in the ring as this week’s show goes off the air on that note. Thanks for joining us!

Winner: ‘Main Event’ Jey Uso

TripleMania ###III Results - August 16, 2025 - Arena CDMX, Mexico City

Walk-ins from all the major talent were shown as were the AAA announce team. Corey Graves, Konnan and JBL are on the call with Jesus Zuinga as our ring announcer. Konnan will also be inducted into the AAA Hall of Fame by Rey Mysterio.

And with that, we’re off.

Copa Bardahl match
As you read above, this is Royal Rumble-style in terms of entrances but eliminations are by pinfall only.

La Parka was the first entrant, coming in with a Thriller knock-off song and full dance routine which I certainly did not hate. AAA Cruiserweight Champion Laredo Kid (who has worked plenty in TNA through the years) was as entrant two. Kid got a near fall off a 450 which led to Joaquin Wilde from WWE as entrant no. 3.

Shortly after, Abismo Negro Jr. was no. 4 and impressive quickly with his power moves. Then, Ta**us (apparently a new version?) was in at no. 5 which as someone that regularly watches AEW, is a strange visual to say the least. Aerostar was in next at no. 6 and took his time getting into the ring. It’s hitting me that this is the perfect match to start this show with so many new fans watching that have zero idea who is in AAA (like me!).

Laredo Kid was eliminated by Aerostar by tossing him over the top which I thought was just by pin only, but I’m learning as we go. That led to Mecha Wolf (former NWA Tag Team Champion) as no. 7 and Cruz Del Toro from WWE was in at no. 8. Wolf eliminated Wilde over the top after spraying mist in his eyes.

Then, things picked up as WWE’s Otis was no. 9, tossing Aerostar over the damn ring post to eliminate him. He then did a worm on Negro Jr. The fans were loving this. Pimpinella was out at no. 10 which was a sight to see and then some. Ta**us was then eliminated by a double Pimpinella and Otis clotheslineand I am already loving this show. Otis then teased kissing Pimpinella before accidentally eliminating Pimpinella after getting dropkicked over the top rope.

Cibernetico was in at no. 11, followed by the one and only MICROMAN at no. 12 who seems destined to appear in WWE by year’s end. After fighting off elimination, Cibernetico was eliminated by Otis who picked Microman up and used him as a weapon to do so. Well, then.

No. 13? WWE’s Omos. We’ll see how his NOAH training prepared him for this moment. The remaining people in the ring then all attacked him one-by-one and got taken out one-by-one. This led to, yes, a Microman and Omos interaction in an image that needs to be seen to be believed. Omos then picked Microman up by his head and people shrieked with what he might do. Shrieked, I tell you.

He then eliminated Negro Jr. and Del Toro at the same time before the final entrant was revealed: Octagon Jr. who won last year’s Copa Bardahl. Otis took his shot at Omos and failed, but Microman took advantage and pinned Otis to eliminate him. Omos then picked Microman up high above his head and threatened to toss him into the stands, instead tossing him onto Negro Jr. and Del Toro at ringside to eliminate him.

Parka, Octagon and Mecha Wolf then teamed up to try and take Omos out, but then turned on each other while Omos just awkwardly hung out in the corner. Parka eliminated Wolf and Omos eliminated Octagon with a big boot while he was on the apron.

That left the first entrant and Omos. Parka teased eliminating Omos and had him teetering on the apron, but Omos grabbed Parka with a chokehold and simply pulled him up over the ropes to throw him to the outside for the win.

This match was a lot of fun with a good blend of AAA and WWE talent. Omos has apparently returned, but I could see him go into mothballs again until next year’s Copa.

Match Result: Omos won the Copa Bardahl

-Dragon Lee did a backstage interview in both English and Spanish, neither of which moved me.

-It was time for celeb crowd shots which includes Triple H, Nick Khan and AAA execs, someone named Pipe Punk, and Dr. Wagner Jr. who was sporting a tremendous fur coat and glasses combo.

AAA Latin American Champion El Mesias (w/ Dorian Roldan) defends against El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr.
Mesias is 50 and has held the title for 280 days with three successful title defenses. My guess is the 33-year-old goes over here, but what do I know? Mesias was out in an homage to Doctor Doom of Marvel fame.

I do give WWE credit as they are not shying away from the majority of the presentation being in all Spanish minus the English commentary team. I wonder how long that will continue. One thing TKO must love is all the logos on the mat which is right up their financial alley.

Commentary did a great job establishing Mesias’ background with the elder Wagner Jr. and why there is history here. Father did not love when Roldan attacked his son on the outside of the ring and neither did the fans. Mesias then threatened to rip his son’s mask off in front of him. Konnan leaned into his rivalry with Wagner Jr., siding with Mesias.

Wagner Jr. rallied after a double clothesline spot, firing up and nearly getting the win after a big splash and then again after a power bomb and Wagner Driver. Roldan jumped up on the apron and his father could take it no more. However, Roldan put on his old mask to taunt the father but got socked anyway.

Mesias hit his big finisher, but Wagner Jr. kicked out. He got distracted by the father on the outside of the ring and got superplexed followed by another Wagner driver that got the pin and his first title win.

This started out a bit meh and got really fun when Wagner Jr. got involved on his son’s behalf which just added to the heat. Konnan’s annoyance on commentary only added to the fun.

Vero Rodriguez interviewed the new champion after the match while Konnan called him an ass kisser. This was only in Spanish, so I have no idea what he said.

Match Result: El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. defeated Mesias to become the AAA Latin American Champion

-Chuey Martinez interviewed Judgment Day in the back but took off when Rey Mysterio Jr. entered the frame. They disrespected him in both English and Spanish.

-A Cricket ad with Penta aired. Never saw that in AEW.

-A celebrity named Natalia MX (an “influencer”) was shown. Like with their other properties, WWE is leaning heavy into that culture.

Judgment Day (Finn Balor, JD McDonagh & Raquel Rodriguez) (w/ Roxanne Perez) vs. Nino Hamburguesa, Mr. Iguana & Lola Vice
Back when I was watching Valerie Loureda compete on Bellator undercards, I wouldn’t have guessed her higher calling would be in WWE as Lola Vice but she’s absolutely perfect for it.

This was a party match which the fans loved, especially Hamburguesa as the babyface in peril and Iguana, because, well, he’s Iguana. Hamburguesa eventually got the hot tag to Iguana who cleaned house. As Iguana was running wild, Balor jumped up on the apron to reveal…Demonito, his own puppet done up as his Demon character. Iguana was perplexed and Demonito ate the iguana. Yes, that is a sentence I just wrote in 2025.

Hamburguesa then brought in two burgers and gave Balor one which led to an Iguana enziguri to knock him out of the ring. Hamburguesa then hit a tope on Balor and McDonagh after a Iguana dive, leaving Vice and Rodriguez.

Perez shoved Vice off the top which led to Hiedra running out but she accidentally hit Vice and then chased Perez to the back. Rodriguez then hit her Tejana bomb for the pin and win.

Again, this was a fun party match. The end felt kind of flat with the run-in, but it is what it is.

Match Result: Judgment Day defeated Nino Hamburguesa, Mr. Iguana & Lola Vice

-Brian “El Shulito” Calderon (a singer with 1.1 million Instagram followers) was shown.

AAA Tag Team Champions Los Garza (Angel & Berto) defend against Psycho Clown & Pagano in a street fight
At one point, both Berto and Angel seemed destined to be released as they had no real fit on the WWE main roster. Yet, this team has revitalized them and feels right. This AAA relationship came at a perfect time.

I was interested if this would be a WWE street fight or a AAA street fight (maybe they are the same?) and this felt like the former. It basically stayed in the ring the entire time and felt like a house show street fight with kendo sticks, garbage cans and tables. There was an impressive double press slam on Pagano through a non-Slim Jim table in the ring which led to more tables being brought in. Pagano speared the champions through a table as they were trying to suplex Clown through it.

Pagano and Clown were put through side-by-side tables on the outside of the ring after a Jericho-style springboard dropkick by Berto while Angel had both men ensnared on the apron. Got that? Pagano and Clown rallied with “barbed wire,” wrapping it around Berto, followed by a Spanish fly off the top by Clown to give the challengers the title win in a bit of a surprise. That led to other Clowns coming out to celebrate.

The loss ends the two-month reign of Los Garza.

I do enjoy a good street fight, but this didn’t do anything for me.

Match Result: Pagano & Psycho Clown defeated Los Garza to win the AAA Tag Team titles

Rey Mysterio inducts Konnan into the AAA Hall of Fame
Mysterio spoke in Spanish, but there was also an English translator who was nearly impossible to hear as both men were talking essentially at the same time. Of note, there were “Alberto” chants to which Mysterio said “I’ll bring him. Wait on me.” or something to that effect.

The video featured R-Truth, Norman Smiley, Road Dogg and Penta giving their props in addition to a lot of WCW footage. Konnan thanked a lot of people, yelled at someone to sit down in the crowd twice, and put over the WWE relationship.

Assuming an increasingly English-speaking audience is the goal for WWE with these shows, production needs to figure out how to make the translator thing work as two men talking over each other is distracting.

-El Grande Americano was interviewed backstage in Spanish.

-Vikingo was also interviewed and heavily booed.

-During the night, ads also aired for WrestleMania in addition to the upcoming Canelo Alvarez fight being promoted by TKO.

-Attendance was announced as a sold-out 19,691.

-Briadana Deyanara Moreno (influencer) was shown followed by Mascarita Sagrada, Fantasma and Lady Shani which was quite a visual transition.

AAA Reina de Reinas Champion Flammer defends against Faby Apache and Natalya in a three-way
A loss here would end a 735-day reign (!) as champion for Flammer, one that began in August 2023 but only has five successful title defenses. Natalya came out as the Nattie Neidhart Bloodsport version of her character, aka “The Low Key Legend.” I could see a title change here for Natalya which would give her something notable on the resume.

Apache had a pin on Flammer, but did a super slow count for which the story wasn’t explained. He then did a quick count when Flammer attempted to pin Apache so clearly there’s a story. The fans were also chanting something at each other which wasn’t explained on commentary. Perhaps also distracted, Konnan did randomly say during the match that he can’t wait to see what AAA is like under WWE’s direction in the next year, two years and five years.

Natalya nearly got the win on a quick count on Apache, but Flammer took advantage of a distracted Apache who had just hit a Michinoku driver on Natalya, rolling her up for the pin with a quick count.

Afterward, Natalya and Apache got into it again and had to be separated.

Like the crowd, I wasn’t into this. This went just under 11 minutes and felt a lot longer.

Match Result: Flammer retained the AAA Reina de Reinas title in a three-way over Natalya and Lady Apache

The next Worlds Collide show was announced for Friday, September 12 at 10 PM Eastern from Las Vegas, right after SmackDown.

AAA Mega Champion El Hijo del Vikingo defends against Dominik Mysterio, El Grande Americano and Dragon Lee in a four-way
Americano came out with a mariachi band and sang his way to the ring which the crowd absolutely loved followed by Lee with dragon wings and a Chinese dragon. Then, there was Mysterio, the reigning WWE Intercontinental Champion who was beloved. Vikingo was shown backstage getting props from Rey Mysterio Jr. and also his father who was also roundly booed.

Of note, commentary didn’t say a god damn word during the entrances which I love, love, love. Let the performers have the moment and let us take everything in. Based on the reaction, the people want either Americano or Mysterio. Also, can we give props to Ludwig Kaiser for speaking perfect (I think) Spanish? Who knew that speaking multiple languages was such a plus in today’s WWE?

Perhaps too jacked up about the moment, Lee was off early, missing some kicks and a dropkick into the corner. He and Vikingo teamed up on the not-so-heels before competing against each other. It’s so wild to me to hear Vikingo booed considering how loved he is in the U.S.

As noted several times on commentary, this was, indeed, non-stop action (Total Nonstop Action, perhaps?). They went a little too strong into how great a match this was instead of just letting the action speak for itself.

Things broke down on the outside as the not-so-heels put Vikingo through the English announce table (EAT?) before turning on each other which distracted them from a Lee tope through the ropes. This also knocked out the broadcast team so it was quiet for a while.

Judgment Day came out to distract Lee and hold him in place for a 619 but Americano broke up the pin attempt. The LWO then ran out to even up the odds and the commentary team came back. Two of Americano’s mysterious masked men then came out to aid Americano and nearly won by pinning Lee after a Blockbuster.

He then tried to load the mask, but Lee prevented it and dove onto all the interfering parties on the outside of the ring. He then hit Operation Dragon on Americano, but Vikingo broke up the pin and nearly got one of his own after a 630.

Mysterio then put on his own Rey Mysterio Sr. mask, loaded it up, dumped Vikingo outside and headbutted both Americano and Lee, nearly getting the pin on Lee after a frog splash until a masked man pulled him off.

That was revealed to be AJ Styles who hit a Styles Clash on his rival Mysterio and then left. Vikingo took advantage, hitting a 630 to get the pin and successful title defense.

PHEW.

This was a beautifully chaotic WWE-style main event that I thoroughly enjoyed.

Match Result: El Hijo del Vikingo defeated Dominik Mysterio, Dragon Lee and El Grande Americano to retain the AAA Mega title

SmackDown Results - August 15, 2025 - TD Garden, Boston, Massachusetts

‘WWE Then. Now. Forever. Together.’ narrated by Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque plays to get things officially off-and-running. Joe Tessitore and Wade Barrett welcome us to the show as the camera pans the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts.

Solo Sikoa & The MFT’s Kick Off This Week’s Show

Tessitore reminds us that WWE fans always know to ‘expect the unexpected,’ and then we hear the familiar sounds of Solo Sikoa’s theme song. Out he comes accompanied by The MFT’s. They all settle inside the squared circle and Sikoa begins on the mic.

Sikoa says they run SmackDown and to anyone who doesn’t like it, too bad. The fans chant “Solo sucks” and he says last week, Sami Zayn showed up on SmackDown but they showed up on Raw and they stomped his ass out. He tells Zayn that he is stomped out, Jimmy Uso, stomped out and Jacob Fatu is stomped out. Sami Zayn’s music hits.

Zayn gets a big pop as he makes his way out and comes to the ring. The fans chant “Sami” and Zayn tells Solo to take it down a notch. He says he is out there to talk and asks them if they can talk, Solo tells him they can. Solo tells the MFT’s to leave the ring and it’s just him and Zayn in the ring.

Zayn tells him that all he has been talking about is being Champion. And had he beaten Rusev on Raw, he might have challenged for the title at Clash in Paris. Zayn says he was furious but he also felt liberated. He says he has been talking so much about being World Champion.

He says he talked so much like it had to be now that it stopped him from accomplishing anything else. But now he is back to doing other things that he set out to do and he thanks Solo for that. Solo looks confused and Zayn tells him that there are other things that he hasn’t done yet.

A fun fact is besides the World title, there is one other title that he has never held in the WWE. And that is the United States Championship. Solo tells him that he won’t hold it anytime soon, he tells Zayn that he is on Raw, not SmackDown.

He tells him to get off his show, he doesn’t want to see him again. Zayn tells Solo that as of tonight, he is officially on SmackDown. The fans cheer and Zayn tells Solo that Solo took something away from him and he is going to take something away from him.

Solo throws the microphone and goes for a right hand but Zayn with a right hand. In come the MFT’s who begin attacking Zayn in the ring. Jimmy’s music hits and out he comes but the MFT’s begin beating on him too. Jacob Fatu’s music hits and out he comes.

He gets in the ring and takes Solo down. Fatu with a super kick onto Tala Tonga as Zayn and Jimmy clothesline Tala to the outside of the ring. Out comes Nick Aldis and he welcomes Sami Zayn to SmackDown. He makes a six man tag team match for tonight. That wraps up the eventful opener.

Alexa Bliss vs. Piper Niven

Once the opener wraps up, the show shifts gears and heads backstage, where we see Byron Saxton standing by with his guests at this time, Chelsea Green and The Secret Hervice. Green laughs and she tells him that she broke up a silly birthday celebration last week and she took a birthday cake to the face.
