Sayyidina Abu Ṭalḥah al-Ansari (raḍiAllahu ʿanhu) narrates, “The Messenger of Allah ﷺ awoke one morning in high spirits with happiness gleaming from his face. (The Companions) asked, “O Messenger of Allah, you have awoken today in high spirits with happiness gleaming from your face. He ﷺ replied, “Yes! A messenger came from my Lord and said, ‘Whoever from your Ummah sends salah upon you once, Allah will record ten good deeds for him, erase ten sins from him, raise him ten degrees in status, and respond to him likewise (i.e. send salah upon him)’” (Aḥmad).

BLESSED FRIDAY

"A Friday that occurs in the 10 days of Dhu’l Hijjah is more distinguished than any other Friday of the year."

Hafiz Ibn Hajar (rahimahu Allah) has mentioned this in Fathul Bari, his commentary of Sahih Bukhari.

This is due to the fact that two virtuous occasions/days are combined; The day of Jumu’ah and the first ten days of Dhu’l Hijjah.

May these special days be sacred and blessed for all of the ummah, for those performing hajj and those yearning to be there too. Ameen.

Please remember to pray for all those suffering around the world, in war torn lands, those facing oppression, those struggling in any way. May Allah grant them all relief. Ameen.
