On Tuesday, the Farm Business Innovation team attended the Rural Diversification Event at the stunning Squab Hall Farm, hosted by Dudley Peverill Associates LLP and The Diversified Farmer.

The day featured insightful keynote presentations and a panel discussion with Antony Pearce, Becky Bone, Emlyn Evans, Joe Evans and Tony Langford, sharing valuable experiences from across the diversification landscape. From dog walking fields and wedding venues to cafés and outdoor wellness experiences, it was inspiring to hear real examples of how farmers are creating new income streams and building resilient rural businesses.

With beautiful views across the farm as the backdrop, it was a fantastic opportunity to connect with the industry and learn from those leading the way in diversification.

We're looking forward to welcoming even more industry pioneers alongside hundreds of exhibitors to Farm Business Innovation this November.

We’re excited to announce that we’re partnering with NFAN once again!

Uniting the Farm Attraction Industry, the National Farm Attraction Network (NFAN) has over 200 Farm Members and is the only independent co-operative for farm and rural attractions.
NFAN now helps Members interpret the guidelines with workshops and one-on-one Member discussions. NFAN has also produced a helpful video demonstrating best practice.

We’re delighted to welcome Katie Williams to the Farm Business Innovation 2026 Steering Committee! 👏

Originally from Oswestry, Shropshire, Katie brings strong agricultural roots and a real passion for supporting rural businesses. After more than 10 years of involvement with Shropshire Young Farmers and studying Business Management with Events at Harper Adams University, she went on to build a successful career in event management.

For the past four years, Katie has worked with Sykes Holiday Cottages, travelling across Great Britain attending agricultural and lifestyle exhibitions, connecting with thousands of customers and property owners, and delivering a wide range of events.

Katie is passionate about the role Farm Business Innovation plays in bringing together farmers, landowners, and industry experts to network, share ideas, and explore new diversification opportunities beyond traditional farming models.
