While the UK is losing its head over weaponised misinformation driven by billionaire’s agendas, social media algorithms, and misplaced hate, a voice shines through with a deeply profound message. ’s words cut like a knife through the facade of right and left division. The message is unity, not divisivness.

As we walk headfirst into a time of unrest and vitriol, please take the time to stop and reflect on your actions. Common decency exists across the multitude of cultures we are lucky to have in this country. Our strength has always come from solidarity, compassion, and the ability to stand together when those at the top try to pit us against each other.

Do not let the politics of the few rob the humanity of the many. Neighbours are not enemies, and strangers are not threats. We are more alike than different, and the power of change lies not in division, but in unity.

The track he’s been spinning is my flip of “Smalltown Boy” by the legendary Bronski Beat, some of my biggest musical heroes. I made this one with the amazing pop icon , who took it to the next level. 💫

Manufacturing Consent feels more relevant than ever in a world shaped by media feeds and algorithms. Essential reading & watching.

✨ Track 10 – The One ft. the incredible ✨

Last but by no means least… this 130 BPM house banger is super special to me. It was actually the first track I ever fully finished about 4 years ago, and it still holds a big place in my heart ❤️ it was the first track I sent to which set the pace for the rest.

Funny story – my mate Bibb@hoochykoochy_ sent me a Facebook clip of his mate singing, and I instantly heard an amazing hook in her lush tones. I stripped the vocal, built the track, and suddenly had something better than anything I’d done before. Eventually, I messaged her out the blue like “hey, I’ve written a track using your song, hope you don’t mind” 😅 Thankfully she loved it, and The One was born. Moral of the story: write first, ask permission later!

Originally, NIICX wrote The One as a ballad, about the one that got away – a friend’s story of love, wrong timing, and repeating cycles “replaced you for another, broke your heart like the others”. That raw emotion carried through beautifully into this house version, and I couldn’t be more grateful to NIICX for trusting the process and being such a joy to work with.

Big love also to and on the engineering/mastering, and to the crew at for the vision across the whole project. 🙌

Track 9 from the album is Smalltown Girl featuring the incredible Starling 🌟

This one has a special story… the idea first came to me back in early lockdown. I wanted to reimagine the iconic 12” version of Bronski Beat’s Smalltown Boy. Jimmy Somerville was one of my favourite singers growing up, and when I first heard Harriet’s (Starling) voice, I knew instantly she was the one to bring this vision to life.

I sent her the track and from the very first moment we were completely on the same page. She absolutely smashed the vocal 🎤🔥

Honestly, I never thought this track would see the light of day due to licensing hurdles — but thanks to the amazing team at , and with permission from Steve Bronski’s family, it finally happened 🙏

Massive shout to for the extra production wizardry ✨ (I’ll never forget him saying it was one of the best tracks to come out of the studio in years). And of course on mastering — phenomenal as always.

Huge thanks as well for the early love from and , who have both been hammering this one. Remixes and Radio edits will be announced soon. Very excited to drop these once the time is ready.

Track 8 from Spectrum Disorder is a special one. ❤️
The track is tilted Say a Prayer for Myself. Written with the insanely talented Janel Antoneshia, who I first met about a decade ago while she was busking. We became friends instantly, but lost touch for around 8 years, then by pure fate I stumbled into a gig in Birmingham where she was opening for fellow Brummie musician . It felt meant to be — I knew straight away I had to get her on a track.

Since then, we’ve become close friends and I’ve become an even bigger fan of her music. I’d recommend Janel’s music to everyone — she has a voice that tears right into your soul.

Massive thanks to Riggs for the painstaking process of going through all the amazing takes in the studio — your ear was a huge part of getting this over the line. And to , whose master on this track was nothing short of magic. Having someone with his experience bring the vocals to life was a blessing.

This is one of my personal favourites on the album — so much time and emotion went into it. Big up the crew at for believing in this.
