We loved this shoot with Vivid Soul in our studio. They asked us to design the lighting and set for this and to provide a gaffer for this shoot to bring their vision to life.

Today we had our Brummy neighbours Spark Media HQ using our studio for their latest product video for Polyframe UPVC Double Glazed Windows and Doors. We supplied a rotator for the window and Astera Titan Tubes for this shoot. We’re proud to work with local production companies full of talent within the West Midlands 🎬

Birmingham Film Studio blackout 🎬

Fun fact - Birmingham Film Studio is the only film studio in Birmingham that is fully sound treated and fitted with a motorised grid that reaches a 6m ceiling height and has maximum safe working load of 3000kg. Also, you don't have to worry about being freezing cold in our studio in Winter, because we also have heating to keep you warmed too!

We're nominated for the Create Central Sustainability Award by Royal Television Society 🎬🎉

Thank you Royal Television Society Awards for nominating us for this award. We're proud to have built and maintained our film studio sustainably for all the productions we welcome through our studio doors. Here's a few ways we are sustainable:

- Reducing Single-Use Plastic: by 2025, it's predicted there will be more plastic in our oceans than fish. This is why we opt for a no single use plastic in our studio and instead provide re-usable glass bottles for shoots.

- Building Efficiency: LED lighting uses at least 75% less energy and lasts up to 25 times longer than incandescent lighting. Our whole building and studio space, including our loading bay, uses LED lighting ensuring it’s energy efficient.

- Appliances: Refurbished products lower the strain on the environment for raw materials. Therefore, most of our appliances are refurbished, including our coffee machine.

- Set or Props: The less we consume, the less damage we will do to the environment. Any set that is built by the studio will be re-used to limit waste and to lessen consumption of buying new goods.
