Cambridge's psych-folk quintet Fuzzy Lights return with their fifth album Fen Creatures, set for release on 7th November 2025 via Meadows and share the first single and video for "Greenteeth".

"Greenteeth" draws on the eerie folklore of the Cambridgeshire fens. Set beside the still waters and twisted willow roots, it tells the tale of Jenny Greenteeth, a mythical hunter who lures children beneath the surface. Both a warning and a connection to stories passed down through generations, "Greenteeth" carries the timeless chill of folklore, reimagined through haunting sound and atmosphere.

"When I read this story to my daughter, she was instantly drawn into it," vocalist, Rachel Watkins says. "There's something timeless about these tales and the way they speak to fundamental fears and connections that span generations."

After the album We Cannot Awake (2024), which was highly praised by press and fans, Vibravoid Official manage to top this masterpiece in their 35th year of existence with their new album 'Remove The Ties', out September 26, 2025 on Tonzonen Records.

The band tells us about the single: "The Power Of Dreams” comes from the depths of the Vibravoid universe. Pure psychedelic pop with hit potential as it was otherwise only made in the 1960s, is combined with epic melodies and imaginative effects. Everything is just right here."

Announcement.
Atom Heart M***a is taking a break, a return date is undecided. This weeks show is dedicated music from friends of the show and the music I’ve loved playing over the last 10 years. This Fridays Show will be the last new show hosted by AHM for a little while.
I travel around the US for a few weeks and when I return I will be working on my new buisness. has been cool enough to see how the future pans out and for the (Un)foreseeable future will be playing the AHM Jukebox.
Thank you to everyone that’s supported the show, the bands, PR, and listeners.

Desert rock legends Yawning Man (Official) announce the release of their new album "Pavement Ends" this November 14th on Heavy Psych Sounds. Founding members Gary Arce and Mario Lalli reunite with Bill Stinson for what promises to be some of their darkest and heaviest work, and premiere a track new track "Bomba Negra".

The foundational trio of guitarist Gary Arce and bassist Mario Lalli—original architects of the band's iconic sound—are reunited in the studio with drummer Bill Stinson for their highly anticipated new album "Pavement Ends". This new chapter sees Arce and Lalli revisiting the exploratory spirit of their most adventurous work, charting a course through some of the band's most profound and powerful compositions to date. The album is a masterclass in dynamics, weaving between moments of stark, haunting beauty and immense, weighty sonics, creating a captivating landscape of tension and release.

The first preview of this powerful new direction comes with the track “Bomba Negra", a piece that plunges into the deep emotional currents of Yawning Man's singular and influential approach to instrumental rock.

Completing the vision for the album is a striking cover painting, marking the band's first collaborative effort with renowned Joshua Tree artist Diane Bennett. The album was recorded and engineered at Gatos Trail Studio by Dan Joeright, and mixed and co-produced by Mike Shear.

Surrounded by endless horizons, Blue Heron formed in 2018 out of a compulsion to fill the vastness with massive volume, saturating their piece of desert with rolling, thunderous riffs, drums that pummel and swing, deep, thrumming tones and vocals that rip and roar. Their guitarist and singer were founding members of Spiritu — Albuquerque, New Mexico's first desert rock band, whose brief burn in the early aughts included a Jack Endino-produced LP, a European tour with Clutch, Spiritual Beggars and Dozer, and a compilation appearance alongside Entombed and Mastodon.

Their debut LP "Ephemeral" arrived in May of 2022 via Kozmik Artifactz in Europe and Seeing Red Records in the USA. Substantial appreciation in the underground led to performances at Ripplefest Texas and Monolith on the Mesa and opening slots for The Well, Elder, Black Mountain, Ruby the Hatchet, Howling Giant, Heavy Temple and The Obsessed, along with a swath of positive reviews throughout the heavy media. In May 2023, Blue Heron dropped three new tracks on a split LP with friends and fellow southwestern riff-purveyors High Desert Queen for Ripple Music’s Turned to Stone series, with cover art by award-winning comic and poster artist Johnny Dombrowski. The bands embarked on a short tour in August 2023, before they set to work on their next full-length.

Released in the fall of 2024, their last album "Everything Fades" expands on their unyielding desert sound with a new slab of propulsive, sun-scorched riff-heaviness.
Their upcoming new release "Emulations" was conceived in early 2025, as Blue Heron prepared to record their rendition of the Nine Inch Nails classic "Head Like a Hole" for the forthcoming Magnetic Eye Records compilation "Best of NIN Redux". Offering four new studio tracks and four live recordings, this new slab of heaviness should satisfy fans of crushing desert metal from the get-go!

Texas-based power trio Stone Machine Electric are back with 'Faces', their most immersive and mind-bending album to date, set for release on September 26, 2025 via Argonauta Records.

Formed in 2009 by Mark Kitchens and William “Dub” Irvin, and joined by bassist Erick Paxecko in 2023, the band has spent over a decade crafting sonic landscapes rooted in stoner rock, doom, space and experimental vibes, building a loyal cult following in the US underground. Their previous releases, including the sprawling The Inexplicable Vibrations of Frequencies Within the Cosmic Netherworld and the live album Vivere, have been praised by outlets like The Obelisk, Doomed & Stoned and Fort Worth Weekly.

Faces captures the full evolution of Stone Machine Electric’s sound: six tracks of introspective heaviness, slow grooves and expansive atmosphere. It's the sound of a band tapping into the void and bringing back something real, raw and hypnotic.

French hard psych and prog duo MOUNDRAG present a high-octane live performance for their new single "Changes", captured as they opened for Deep Purple in Orange, South of France. Their new album "DEUX" will be issued on October 17th via Spinda Records and Stolen Body Records.

About "Changes", the band comments: "This is not a Black Sabbath cover, nor a Bowie one — it’s our brand new single. Poland's heavy psychedelic rock pioneers WEEDPECKER ink a worldwide deal with HEAVY PSYCH SOUNDS Records for the release of their anticipated fifth studio album, the reissue of their sophomore full-length "II" as well as the booking of their next European tour!

About joining the HPS roster, the band comments: “We’re excited to announce that Weedpecker is joining the Heavy Psych Sounds family. It feels great to team up with a label that shares our vision, and we can’t wait to share the next chapter of our journey with you all.”

Forged in Warsaw, Poland in 2012, Weedpecker emerged from the creative union of brothers Piotr and Bartek Dobry. Their mission was to weave dreamy, expansive psychedelic rock with the raw gravity of stoner and grunge. Throughout the decade, the band solidified its reputation with three critically acclaimed albums, delivering some of the most revered heavy psych anthems the scene has witnessed.

After the powerful release of “III” in 2018, the band entered a new chapter as longtime members Bartek Dobry, Robert Kulakowski, and Grzegorz Pawlowski moved on. Weedpecker re-emerged in 2020 with a revitalized lineup, welcoming members of Dopelord and Major Kong. This new incarnation debuted not only fresh faces but also an expanded sonic palette, introducing keyboards to their live performances.

Heavy Psych Sounds Fest invades London's Hackney Bridge venue this Halloween with two nights of earth-shaking riffs and mind-bending psychedelia! Get ready to feel the desert rock swagger of Brant Bjork Trio, the witchcraft-heavy doom of Dopelord, and Belzeb**g’s slow-motion, smoke-choked sludge as they drag you into the abyss.
