'SOUNDS OF WONDER' IS TEN YEARS OLD!
It was exactly ten years ago this week that Julie and I launched our Sounds of Wonder website and record label. On 3rd Nov 2015 we were advertising pre-orders for "Emerald" album by our international group The Worship Company (featuring songs by Wytze Valkema), which was our first ever Sounds of Wonder production. (I am personally thankful to Wytze for 'calling out' the music producer in me.)
We never could have imagined creating and recording so much music in the following decade - including two more albums with Wytze, two musicals by Maggie Jemmett, an album & three separate singles by David Hadden, albums by Rodney Gale, David Hadden, Linda Entwistle, Lauren Leigh, and a grand total of SEVEN Celtish albums, all within ten years! (Not to mention all of the other songs and albums we have played on by other artists, including our Epiphany group).
None of this would have been possible without our many friends and followers whose faithful prayer and often practical support towards our full-time ministry has helped us give birth to all these projects. We are also very thankful for the expertise of Chris Smith and Nic Burrows at Raindance Music and to all of the many musicians who have willingly collaborated on our albums.
So, what's next for Sounds of Wonder Music? Well, to celebrate our tenth birthday, over the next year or so, we will be re-releasing some of the music from previous albums as stand-alone singles on digital platforms, with the first of these going live this week. In early 2026, my brand new solo album 'Manna Grove' will finally be released, and we are already working on new 'Celtish' music which will follow later in the year. Who knows what other collaborations we will also enter into!
We are so grateful to God for the new song(s) He has put in our hearts for this season of our lives and pray that many more Sounds of Wonder will be inspired and released in the years to come. Thankyou for joining us on this creative journey.
