Just over a week until Japanese experimental musician Shuya Onuki returns to Centrala in Birmingham on his KAMIKAMIKAMI UK/EU tour on Thursday 20th November.

KAMIKAMIKAMI (dark electronica from Japan) + CRIES FROM THE LTN

You may have caught his dynamic solo show back in February or know him better as the singer/guitarist from psychedelic rockers Qujaku who sold out their Birmingham gig a couple of months ago.

A few advance tracks from his forthcoming album can be previewed bringing to mind Papa M, Six Organs of Admittance and S**t and Shine as haunting guitars and vocals rise and fall amongst shortwave static.
I wish i could preview track 4, 'I want to see it because I can't see it'; it's absolutely gorgeous and i can't wait to hear it played live.

Unfortunately Earl Temple Foundation have had to pull out of this event at The Castle & Falcon on 30th November - nothing serious and oppefully we can see them in Birmingham soon.

I'm pleased to announce that local power-pop quartet Retail Store have stepped in to fill the gap following on from their riotous support last month at the sell out Mass of the Fermenting Dregs show. Great to have them on board.

Japan Underground are the UK’s original Japanese rock night.
They are celebrating their 15th anniversary though it's been a while since they ran a night in Birmingham - perhaps some of you remember the great nights at The Victoria and Hare and Hounds!

On Saturday 15th November at The Victoria, Birmingham city centre they are back!! Not only will you get a high-energy mix of J-rock, punk, and J-pop anthems but also live sets from one of Japan’s hottest new acts.

Fresh from a US tour that included the legendary Whiskey a Go Go, Japanese rockers WENDY are making their UK debut and celebrating the UK vinyl release of their album 'Don’t waste my YOUTH'. I SEE ORANGE, the post-grunge trio also newly signed to JPU Records will also be playing.

Three shows for November!

The first is a long overdue collaboration with JPU Records who are celebrating 15 years or releasing great records and promoting gigs by bands from Japan.
