The music world has had it's fair share of bombshells over the years, but today's news of Ozzy Osbourne's passing will probably be as hard hitting as any have been! So many superlatives have been used in the endless tributes paid so far, that we at Billibee Creative Studio need add no more. Many millions loved Ozzy and many millions will miss him dearly, but tonight we send heartfelt condolences to Sharon and the Osbourne family in the hope that they will take great solace in the knowledge that Ozzy was a true trailblazer and, along with his Sabbath family, set the bar so high, few others could reach it! All we can say is, whichever afterlife he has gone to, they are in for a heck of a ride, but for now, from Lisa, Dave and Rob at Billibee Creative, we say rest ye well, fellow Brummie, you will be forever in our memories.

DEEPEST PURPLE + RAINBOW RISING - BILLESLEY ROCK CLUB SAT 19TH JULY 2025
Saturday at the Billesley Rock Club saw the welcome return of two tribute bands, or more correctly, one band paying tribute to two legendary rock outfits, Deep Purple and Rainbow. Deepest Purple and Rainbow Rising are the bands, sorry, is the band in question! Tonight, the guys were without regular axeman Neil Priddey, but his big shoes were more than ably filled by the very talented Craig Price, who some may recognise as lead guitar with Motorkill (no guesses as to the tribute there!). Despite the unpredictable nature of the British weather, a good crowd had paid their pennies and were entertained royally, twenty plus songs of Deep Purple & Rainbow classics being their reward! Frontman Kevin McGillian is always good value when it comes to entertainment and good humour and is always most welcome at the venue, no matter who he and his band of merry men may be paying homage to! Thanks for a great night of tunes guys and thanks to our patrons for turning out in numbers to support them, live music and the venue! Thanks also to DJ Bear for some top tracks and special mention to stand in desk guy, Ryan Lowry, for the bang on sound and as ever, many thanks to our hosts Nancy and Bear for continuing to bring the best live sounds to the BRC!

JUST DOIN' IT - BILLESLEY ROCK CLUB FRI 4TH JULY 2025
In 1953, the BBC started a radio concert programme called "Friday Night Is Music Night" and I believe it's still running! Well Friday night at the Billesley Rock Club is also music night and tonight there was a cracker of a programme on offer. With a name taken from the 2006/7 live tour, our guests tonight, Just Doin' It, were here to give us over two hours and twenty-five plus tunes of all things Status Quo. A really good turn out helped to build a great atmosphere and more than a few rocked along stage front! The eagle eyed amongst you may have recognised that the guys also form another BRC favourite outfit and Eric Clapton tribute, The Journeymen. With four excellent musicians and vocalists playing really good sounds, what's not to like? Thanks for the entertainment lads. Thanks as usual to all who turned out to support the band, venue and, most importantly, live music. You really are all much appreciated by all associated with the Billesley Rock Club.

Saturday night at the Billesley Rock Club saw newcomers YorT - a tribute to the music of American rock band, Y&T grace the stage as a pre-cursor to the much loved Wizards of Oz.

As a Y&T fan, I can honestly say I was NOT disappointed. The Billesley crowd just loved them and sang along all through the hour long set.

Don't miss them next time 👌

MELVIN HANCOX BAND WITH SPECIAL GUESTS THE MARTIN BURCH BAND - BILLESLEY ROCK CLUB FRI 27TH JUNE 2025.
How quickly the musical weekends seen to come round at the Billesley Rock Club! While Somerset has a little thing called "Glasto" going on, Birmingham and the BRC had a great evening of originals, with a few covers thrown in, courtesy of two awesome bands. Opening proceedings was Martin Burch Music, aka The Martin Burch Band, a three piece outfit from Leicester, who blasted out forty-five minutes of powerhouse blues that really got the house rocking. Previous visitors to the club, it was great to see these guys back and a return visit is assured. Regulars at the BRC is our headline act, the Melvin Hancox Band and a full on, in your face performance is always guaranteed. The pedigree these guys can rightly boast is something I have alluded to on previous occasions, so to Melvin, James Hoskins and Mick Barker, I once more say many thanks for the top drawer entertainment. To those that came out on yet another hot, steamy evening, we thank you for the support and hope you had a great time. The bands and the venue greatly appreciate your attendance. As ever, check the BRC website, page and flyers for upcoming shows that our hosts Nancy, Bear, Darren and Nidge have lined up for your entertainment. Everyone stay safe during this hot spell!

SHINE A LIGHT + SPECIAL GUESTS THE FEARLESS SCOUNDRELS - THE BILLESLEY ROCK CLUB FRI 20TH JUNE 2025.
Our first post in a few weeks, courtesy of a holiday, so was good to be back at the Billesley Rock Club for a double header of what promised to be knock out music. Both bands tonight were returning acts and it was a pleasure to welcome them back. Our first band, The Fearless Scoundrels, were tonight batting minus one member, due to injury (get well soon Dave Matthews}, but nevertheless blasted out a great set of music as they played out their new album release TOO DAMN BLUE almost in it's entirety and which I listened to whilst editing my pictures. Great show guys and top album of tunes; good luck with it! By now the room was really buzzing and well cooking, the hot weather conditions mostly to blame, I guess. Headliners, Shine A Light - Rolling Stones tribute to one of London's greatest exports The Rolling Stones, whose longevity as a successful band continues to impress, really cranked up the heat with their blistering twenty-one song set of Stones classics, which had more than a few audience members expending any excess energy they had on the dance floor. I was happy to watch! All in all, 'twas a great night of music yet again at the BRC and we thank our performers and all who turned up to support the bands, live music and the club and given the recent demise of so many music venues, that support is so, so appreciated by the BRC and bands who just want to entertain. Hosts, Nancy, Bear, Darren and Nigel will continue working behind the scenes to bring the best in live sounds to the club, so keep checking the "what's on" section of the website and socials! Lastly, thanks to the bar staff for their hard work keeping glasses full, you rock guys.

Friday night at Billesley Rock Club brought you the brilliant Nickelback UK - Tribute to Nickelback.

Hearing comments like "Wow", "They are good" and "Why haven't I seen them before?" to timeless classics like Hero, How you Remind Me and more recently "San Quentin" (my own personal fave), I was beginning to ask myself the same question.

If you're looking to experience Nickelback's music live in the UK, with performances that capture the essence of the Canadian rock giants, this is YOUR band !

Yet another outstanding night from
