Friday night at Billesley Rock Club brought you the brilliant Nickelback UK - Tribute to Nickelback.

Hearing comments like "Wow", "They are good" and "Why haven't I seen them before?" to timeless classics like Hero, How you Remind Me and more recently "San Quentin" (my own personal fave), I was beginning to ask myself the same question.

If you're looking to experience Nickelback's music live in the UK, with performances that capture the essence of the Canadian rock giants, this is YOUR band !

Yet another outstanding night from

CULT FICTION - THE BILLESLEY ROCK CLUB FRI 9TH MAY 2025
Friday night saw the welcome return to the Billesley Rock Club of Cult Fiction, a tribute to Bradford's own The Cult. Although a modest crowd was in attendance tonight, the guys entertained the venue with great sounds and good humour as they blasted through with two sets, which comprised over twenty classic Cult tunes. Once again , it was a real treat to see a beautiful white Gretsch being put through it's paces! Thanks to Cult Fiction for a fab evening of super sounds and our appreciation, as always, to you awesome supporters of live music for spending a couple of hours with us. Don't forget to keep checking for upcoming events, there are some great things in the pipeline, starting with Dark Side of the Wall, the award winning tribute to Pink Floyd. Our hosts, Nancy, Bear, Darren and Nidge look forward to welcoming each and everyone of you.

HIGH ON ADAMS - THE BILLESLEY ROCK CLUB FRI 2ND MAY 2025
This weekend at the Billesley Rock Club see debutant acts both Friday and Saturday. Friday's newbies to the venue was tribute outfit High On Adams, billed as the ultimate live Bryan Adams experience. A decent sized crowd had turned up for tonight's show and their reward was a cracking two set menu of twenty one songs from Bryan Adams incredible catalogue of hit songs. This band is all about audience participation and it took a while, but frontman Darren Adams persevered and soon enough couples were dancing and singing fully immersed in the the music. one particular highlight was the two ladies who bravely volunteered to each be Mel C for the rendition of WHEN YOU'RE GONE. Names escape me, but they were awesome, so ladies if you see the yourselves in the photo gallery, tag away! To the band, 'twas really good to welcome you to our venue and we thank you for a brill performance. As ever, massive thanks go to all that turned out to support the band, the venue and live music, You all rock! Meanwhile, our hosts Nancy, Bear, Darren and Nigel continue to trawl the circuits to bring the best live sounds to the BRC, so keep checking the page for upcoming shows. Happy Bank Holiday to you all.

QUARTZ "SIX" ALBUM LAUNCH PARTY WITH SPECIAL GUESTS IRON VOID - THE BILLESLEY ROCK CLUB, SUNDAY 27TH APRIL 2025, PART TWO.
I really don't know where to start for this second part of the Quartz album release party. Fifty-one years and still going strong, as tonightat the Billesley Rock Club certainly proved. Having first seen the band back in 1977/8, courtesy of my involvement with another legendary Brum outfit, CRYER, for whom my brother Mick was keyboard player back then and who I believe also played dep keys for tonight's headliners on a few occasions. Legendary times doesn't come close to describing just how vibrant and rich the scene was back then in and around Birmingham, as those of a, ahem, certain age will testify! Three of the original line up, Malcolm Cope, Mick Hopkins and Derek Arnold remain with Geoff Bate the latest and second time around vocalist to front the band. Enough of the potted history though, tonight was gonna be an emotional trip down memory lane as well as celebrating yet another new album release, "SIX", a twelve track offering, which includes two penned by the late Geoff Nicholls and is well worth checking out! Tonight we heard just a couple off the album, but many Quartz classics and evergreens in a stonkin' fourteen song set, which was rounded off with a touching tribute to former keys man Geoff Nicholls in the shape of Heaven and Hell, a Ronnie James Dio Black Sabbath era song, which Geoff, a session keyboardist for BS at the time, is reputed to have been responsible for the song's bassline. What a great way for an amazing show to end! To the Iron Void guys we extend massive thanks for setting the evening up perfectly, but to Quartz the band, a thank you just doesn't seem adequate, but a thank you, and a massive one at that, will have to do. To the guy behind the scenes, Tim Perry, all I can say is, top job sir! The whole team at the BRC, Nancy, Bear, Darren, myself and Lisa Billingham, were proud and privileged to have been part of a very special show, which meant a lot to so many. To those who turned out to support the bands and the venue, you were magic! Now treat yourselves and go and buy the album!!

QUARTZ "SIX" ALBUM LAUNCH PARTY WITH SPECIAL GUESTS IRON VOID - THE BILLESLEY ROCK CLUB, SUNDAY 27TH APRIL 2025, PART ONE.
Rounding off three days of extraordinarily good live music at the Billesley Rock Club, Sunday late afternoon saw the launch show for Brummie legends Quartz Rock Band's latest album release SIX. More about that in part two, though. Opening proceedings was special guests and Wakefield's own old school Doom Metal purveyors, Iron Void. This well established outfit played true to their colours as they blasted through a forty-five minute, eight track set, with tunes taken from their impressive catalogue. Despite just a modest crowd being in the room and a very early techie, IV was nonetheless enthusiastically appreciated and set a great atmosphere for the rest of the evening. If you like your metal down and dirty and served just as it should be, then Iron Void sure fits the bill. Thanks for guesting and a great set of music, guys.

THE QUO aka THE 4 ROSSIS - THE BILLESLEY ROCK CLUB FRI 25TH APRIL 2025.
Friday night at the Billesley Rock Club saw the start of what is a bumper three days of great live music at the venue. Kicking us off was yet another BRC favourite act The Quo - aka - The 4 Rossis. These guys play with a lot of fun and great humour, which in no way diminishes their awesome musical abilities; their sound, as they churn out Status Quo classic after classic, is spot on. Tonight's excellent crowd was treated to two sets of tunes from the London legends, who underwent several name changes before eventually settling on Status Quo in 1969. Thanks for a great night, yet again, guys. To front man Dave Matthews, can I say that I've never had anyone pause singing, mid-song before, just to pose for a pic! That's off the wall dude and we're also glad that all the Quo songs the band played were your favourites! As always massive thanks go to you, our patrons for continuing to support the venue and, more importantly, live music. T'would be awesome to see some of you for Sabbra Cadabra/Ozzy's Blizzard on Saturday and then, on Sunday, for Birmingham's own legendary rockers Quartz (special guests Iron Void) at their album launch party. Our hosts Nancy, Bear, Darren and Nigel continue to bring amazing bands to the BRC and fair to say they love coming back. Stay safe, take care and keep on rockin'.

So many words, so little space to say just how BRILLIANT no, let's say fu***ng ('scuse expletive) AWESOME, our Saturday night entertainment was at the Billesley Rock Club.

Popestars - A Tribute to Ghost took it to a higher level and then some!! I am sure I heard someone shout "where's the roof gone".

Guys you deserve all the plaudits.

Truly excellent night 💙

REBEL REBEL - THE BILLESLEY ROCK CLUB SAT 15TH MARCH 2025
Saturday night at the Billesley Rock Club saw another very popular returning act, Rebel Rebel - UK David Bowie Tribute Show. Another pretty full venue was in for something a little different from the band on this occasion, as on the two-set menu was a performance of the full 1976 David Bowie album STATION TO STATION, widely regarded as one of his most significant and influential works. Of course, the timeless classic tunes that everyone knows and loves were not ignored and made their appearances at various points throughout the evening's show. Hailing from the Nottingham area, Rebel Rebel is a long established outfit and regulars at the BRC, something that will surely continue! Thanks for a great evening guys (and gal), you rocked. Many thanks to all who turned out to support the band, the venue, live music and our awesome hosts Nancy, Bear, Darren and Nidge, you rock too!
