We are buzzing to share some wonderful footage of the University of Plymouth's hand cycling world record by Sarah Piercy from Battle Mountain in Nevada, USA in 2016. It is the 10th anniversary of this amazing achievement and we are thrilled that both Sarah and Adam Kyte from the University PLUS the bike will be joining director Michael B Clifford for the post-show panel discussion at Plymouth Arts Cinema tomorrow (Tuesday 22nd September at 7pm). Join us for a special Q&A screening of The Fastest Bicycle

The film tells the amazing story of Sir Roger Bannister's grandson Barney Townsend and his team's attempt at the World Human Powered Vehicle land speed record at Battle Mountain Nevada which stands at an eye watering 89.5 mph. Think Cool Runnings meets F1 Drive To Survive as Barney and the team tackle a missing bike, high speed crashes, team member departures, serious design flaws and injury. It's a story of perseverance beyond limits and of community, as the team discover that their competitors can also be their greatest allies.

The film will be followed by a Q&A with director Michael B Clifford.

We are buzzing to share the details of our Autumn tour of The Fastest Bicycle - a new feature documentary film that Sam Lockyer has produced at Iconic directed by double BAFTA winner Michael B Clifford and edited by the very talented James Watson. It is heading to six independent cinemas over the next month or so. If you are based in the then the chances are that there will be a showing not too far from you! Also fantastic to be going to Broadway Cinema in Nottingham where a film Sam directed on Brian Lara called 501 Not Out did very well over the summer.
