✨ Spotlight on Reuben

At Virtual Decisions, we’re proud to see the impact immersive experiences can have on young people and their future ambitions.

After working with Virtual Decisions, Reuben has decided to pursue his passion for acting and will be heading to BOA to continue his studies.

This was Reuben’s second time taking part in one of our VR experiences and we’re delighted to have played a part in helping him explore his interests and take the next step towards his future career. 🎭

“My time with Virtual Decisions gave me a lot more than experience, it also gave me direction and helped me discover the path I want to follow in the future. Before Virtual Decisions, I was unsure about my next step in life after leaving secondary school but working with the cast and crew members inspired a passion for acting I never knew I had. It was this passion that led me to pursue an education at BOA. And for that, I will forever be grateful for everything Virtual Decisions have done for me.”

✨ Spotlight on Maddison

At Virtual Decisions, we believe creating opportunities for young people to gain real-world experience can make a lasting difference.

Maddison, who is currently studying Hair & Make Up at college, joined us on the set of our latest experience, VD: VAWG. It was a great opportunity for her to put her skills into practice, experience a professional working environment and gain valuable hands-on experience in the industry she hopes to pursue a career in.

Behind the scenes of Virtual_Decisions: VAWG 🎬

A look behind the scenes at the filming of our newest immersive learning experience, Virtual_Decisions: VAWG.

From rehearsals and filming to bringing the scenarios to life, our recent shoot in Birmingham brought together a brilliant team of young actors, creatives and experts to create an experience that explores misogyny, coercive control, healthy relationships and positive masculinity.

There’s a lot that goes into creating an immersive experience and we can’t wait to share more of what we’ve been working on.

Schools are back, and with new statutory guidance around misogyny, sexism and Violence Against Women and Girls coming into force from 1 September, these conversations are more important than ever.

We’ve been working behind the scenes on something new to support this work.

Our Virtual Decisions: VAWG experience has just wrapped filming and is being developed to help young people explore misogyny, healthy relationships, positive masculinity and the links between harmful attitudes and violence against women and girls through immersive learning.

The results speak for themselves.

Between July 2025 and July 2026, West Mercia Youth Justice Service delivered Virtual Decisions to 131 young people. Following the intervention, 121 participants (92.4%) had no further police contact.

These figures highlight the potential of immersive, decision-led VR to help young people reflect on their choices, build resilience and make positive decisions for the future.

Thank you to Lorna Tilley and the West Mercia Youth Justice Service team for their continued commitment to innovative early intervention and positive outcomes.

🎬 That's a wrap!

We've officially finished filming our brand-new immersive VR experience, Virtual_Decisions: Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) and what an incredible week it's been.

It has been a pleasure working alongside such a talented cast of local young actors, whose passion and commitment have helped bring these important stories to life. Their performances will play a vital role in creating an experience that encourages meaningful conversations around misogyny, coercive control, positive masculinity and healthy relationships.

With filming complete, the experience now moves into post-production ahead of its trial across Birmingham this September, before being made available to organisations across the UK in January 2027.

We're incredibly proud of what we've created together and can't wait to share this powerful new immersive learning experience with you.

🎬 Lights, camera, action!

This week, we're filming our newest immersive VR experience: Virtual_Decisions: Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG).

Created in partnership with the Birmingham Community Safety Partnership's VAWG Board and leading subject matter experts, this new experience helps young people explore the attitudes and behaviours that can lead to violence against women and girls.

Using realistic, decision-led scenarios, participants will reflect on key themes including misogyny, coercive control, positive masculinity and healthy relationships in a safe, immersive environment.

Following a Birmingham trial from September to November, the programme will be available to local authorities, police forces, VRUs, schools and youth organisations across the UK from January 2027.
