*INSTALLATION OF THE WORKING GROUP IN CHARGE OF THE ELECTORAL PROCESS FOR THE RENEWAL OF THE GOVERNING BODIES OF THE CIVIL SOCIETY OF NEIGHBOURING RIGHTS (SCDV)*

Yaoundé, September 4th, 2026

The installation ceremony of the Working Group in charge of the electoral process for the renewal of the governing bodies of the Civil Society of Neighbouring Rights (SCDV) took place yesterday, *Thursday, September 3rd, 2026, at 4:00 PM at the headquarters of the Control Commission for Collective Management Organizations (CCOGC), 3rd floor of the building opposite Collège Bilingue Matamfen, Nlongkak - Yaoundé.

The ceremony was chaired in a solemn and cordial atmosphere, in the presence of the representatives of the Minister of Arts and Culture and members of the Working Group and officials of the CCOGC.

On this occasion, *Mr. CHE ERNEST CHESI alias the King of Artists: GENERAL TSE KINGALA was officially installed as Rapporteur No. 1* of the said Working Group.

In this opening remarks, the Chairman recalled the crucial importance of this electoral process for the transparency, credibility and future of the SCDV, which represents artists and holders of neighbouring rights in Cameroon.

*The mission of the Working Group is to:*
1. Organize and supervise the entire electoral process
2. Ensure transparency, inclusiveness and compliance with the laws in force
3. Propose a credible electoral calendar for the renewal of the SCDV governing bodies

The Working Group will begin its work immediately and will keep the public, artists and members of the SCDV informed of the next steps.
