A toddler's slight tilt of the head that was dismissed as a simple ear infection turned out to be a rare and aggressive brain tumour. 😮💔

Little one-year-old Capri's mother, Elissa Hilsden, 30, took her to the doctors after a friend noticed her head tilting in photos.

The youngster had just celebrated her first birthday when the health scare prompted Elissa to seek professional medical help.

Doctors failed to sport a rare brain tumour, instead dismissing Capri's head tilt and cold symptoms as a virus and an ear infection.

However, when Elissa later noticed a slight problem with her right eye, she rushed back to hospital and got a CT scan for her daughter.

The scan revealed the 'horrific' truth of her daughter's ailments: an Embryonal Tumour with Multilayered Rosettes (ETMR), a rare and highly aggressive form of childhood brain cancer.

After her diagnosis in November, little Capri has undergone several operations to remove the tumour, and remains in hospital with engineering teacher mum Elissa, as well as her dad, Anthony, 35, an engineer.
