After 21 years of being kept in the Bhangra wilderness
Generasian Records is proud to present the release of
‘From Leicester To Toronto' by Awaaz Group.

During the 80's and 90's the band Awaaz, fronted by vocalist
Kuldip Bhamrah Q.A.M, had a popular following with hit tracks such as ‘Jhanjar Patlo Di', ‘Pyar Ho Geya' and ‘Voti Jelhi Di'.
these hits took Awaaz internationally with Canada becoming their second home.

Being unique for it's time, Awaaz Group recorded a live album from one of their 1989 tours to Toronto. The album, under the musical direction of Baldev Mastana, was set for release that year but unfortunately it was left behind ... until now.

Front man Kuldip Bhamrah Q.A.M recieved a Queen's award in 2018 and is affectionately known as ‘The Singing Ambulance man'. He was part of the BIG NHS Singalong in 2018 with featured Blue, Ashley from Diversity, Kimberley Walsh, Spandau Ballet frontman Tony Hadley and 90s soul singer Beverley Knight. You can now hear his sweet yet powerful voice like never before. Relive one of the final pieces of Bhangra's golden era and let Awaaz take you on a final trip ‘From Leicester To Toronto'
