As most of you are probably aware, Ahmed Jamshaid driver of The Silver Surfer was involved in what can only be described as a truly horrific and life threatening crash at Santa Pod Raceway.

Whilst we are waiting to figure out exactly what happened the car made a hard left into the next lane, at this point Ahmed was a passenger in his own car at 180mph.

Unfortunately this resulted in the crash with the vehicle in left lane.
The Silver Surfer was sent up into the air, over the safety barrier and into the scrutineering area.

It’s is an absolute miracle that both drivers and 2 Marshalls escaped with minor injuries and as a father of 3 beautiful souls, that is the most important thing.

The Silver Surfer is an extension of Ahmed himself. It is a life time of hard work and dedication to build that little Honda Civic to become Europes fastest FWD Honda. A record which only just left his hands not long ago.

As someone who has recently gotten into drag racing, Ahmed is an excellent mentor who has helped me each and every step of the way, the purpose of this Go Fund Me is to help rebuild The Silver Surfer and to see him back behind the wheel soon. As good of a mentor he is, he is an even better drag racer.

As you know Ahmed is not one to hide behind a setback, as big of a crash this is, you know he will say ‘ah that was nothing, I’ll have the car ready soon, you know me’.

With his infectious and competitive personality we cannot let him think he is alone, he has helped many many people when they’re in need, all without taking a single penny.

Let us help him get back behind the wheel and show him how awesome the drag racing community can be.
