Big changes coming to Edgbaston Stadium.
A £46 million redevelopment is now moving forward, with new plans for a 3,200-seat stand and a 146-bed hotel. The project is expected to be ready in time for the Ashes in 2027.

The upgrade could bring around 60,000 visitors a year and create over 100 jobs, with a big boost to the local economy.

Another sign of Birmingham growing as a major sporting and tourism destination.

Birmingham Is Rising… But Who Feels It?

Birmingham is being recognised across Europe as a fast-growing city.

However on the ground, many residents are still dealing with broken services and missed opportunities.

Growth should be felt by everyone, not just talked about.

Not an easy one this time. I doubt many will get this right but give it a go and see what happens.

A full year of bin strikes in Birmingham.

Residents dealing with rats, fly-tipping and no recycling. Some people literally storing bags of recycling in their homes because they can’t get to the tip.

Meanwhile the dispute between Birmingham City Council and Unite the Union still drags on with no end in sight.

Let’s be clear. The council is run by the Labour Party.

A year without a solution isn’t just a dispute. It’s a failure of leadership.
