Hatfield Broad Oak Parish Council Hatfield Broad Oak Parish Council: a team of dedicated volunteer Councillors. Please be aware that this page is solely for information sharing.

If you wish to comment/share an opinion/ask questions to the PC please send an email to the parish clerk. The council is a team of nine dedicated volunteer councillors. Eight of the councillors are from the village ward and one is from Bush End ward. Currently the full council meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month except in August. Council working groups and committees may meet between these meetings.

Notice is hereby given that a vacancy has occurred in the office of parish councillor arising from the resignation of Paul Murphy.

A by-election has been scheduled by UDC on the 12th of February, with a nomination period of the 9th to the 16th of January.

Have Your Say on funding for Essex Police and Essex County Fire and Rescue Services

The Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner for Essex is inviting all residents, businesses and people who study or travel in Essex to share their views on future funding for Essex Police and Essex County Fire & Rescue Service for the 2026/27 financial year.

Your feedback will help shape future investment in community safety, crime prevention, and emergency response across Essex.

The annual PFCC Precept Survey 2026/27 takes about four minutes to complete and is now live: Essex PFCC Funding for Policing and Fire & Rescue Services 2026/27

The deadline for responses is Monday, 17th November 2025, with a possible two-week extension to Monday, 1st December 2025. Results from this survey will inform discussions at the Police, Fire and Crime Panel meeting on Thursday, 4th December 2025.
