Hot mess.

The cover that’s gotten everyone talking, and mouths watering. We had so much fun putting this issue’s cover together - albeit very melty and sticky work! The Bish really is something we pour our hearts into (and syrup, on this occasion), in order to offer up something our wonderful community can enjoy and which celebrates all that is great this season, in our towns. We hope you love these outtakes as much as we love ice cream.

Issue 12, out in Bishop’s Stortford AND Saffron Walden, now.

A million little pieces.

What goes into every issue of The Bish and by Jove, was this one an adventure. From sunny, sticky photoshoots, to art in curious places. From navel-gazing to making new friends and collaborators. We are thrilled to have our summer-ready twelfth issue bringing some candy-coloured joy to your high streets, even if the weather is yet to catch up.

There’s lots of food, glorious food, to make you wish this issue was scratch and sniff, as well as the cutest pug, things to do and places to belt out a banger, if singing is your thing. Find this and more in our South and North Street stockists NOW.

This is Laura. For those of you who don’t know her, Laura is a half marathon runner and member of Bishop’s Stortford’s running club. And if running testing races while working and raising two children were not enough, she also happens to have had surgery to remove a rare brain tumour in the very same year. You can read more of Laura’s incredible story on p49 of our spring issue, and if you’re interested in donating to her charities of choice, The Brain Tumour Charity or Brainstrust, you can do so at:
