Only 2 days to go 📢 until Emma kicks off her charity South West Coast Path run 🏃‍♂️ She sets off this Sunday, with the aim to complete the 630 mile journey in just 11 days!

The South West Coast Path is Britain’s longest national trail, running from Poole Harbour in Dorset to Minehead in Somerset, with a total elevation gain of around 115,000 feet. If Emma completes the challenge in the time she anticipates, she will set a new female record 🥳

Change in date 📢

It's now just 25 days left to go until Emma Carlton (the_earlyriser on IG) takes on the epic challenge of running 630 miles for two charities close to her heart, YoungMinds and Dementia UK 🏃‍♂️

Running the South West Coast Path 🏃‍♂️

We are excited to share that we are sponsoring a 630 mile run of all the South West Coast Path. Emma Carlton (the_earlyriser on IG) is taking on the epic journey for YoungMinds and Dementia UK.

Emma comments: "This year, I’ll be running all 630 miles of the South West Coast Path, climbing over 115,000 feet (more than four times the height of Everest). I’m doing it for two charities that mean the world to me: Dementia UK and YoungMinds. I lost my funny, quirky, caring Granny to dementia, and watching her slowly disappear was one of the hardest things I’ve ever been through.

"Both charities provide expert advice and support to those suffering, and to their families and loved ones during such tough times. I will be running for my Granny, and to help inspire as many people as I can along the way. Every mile is for someone who needs it.

"I am so incredible excited and grateful to welcome Target Publishing to the team and so thankful for their sponsorship and support to making this amazing challenge happen."

When we heard that she was running all 630 miles of the South West Coast Path to raise money for two charities close to her heart, we were truly inspired and knew we had to offer our support.

During Covid, when mental health was at its toughest, we decided to introduce a four-day working week to better support our team and their wellbeing. Since 2020, we have successfully adopted this policy, offering full pay without any reduction, which continues to support staff mental health and improve work-life balance.

"In addition, the magazines we publish aim to educate and equip our readers on a range of health topics, so they become inspired to get outdoors, take better care of their health through nutrition and lead an active lifestyle, so Emma's story really resonated with us.
