The following message was received from brother Imran from Brookhouse Development Group and is part of the cemetery clean up team. He also thanked everyone for their help as it made everything really easy on Sunday.

"Amazing work from all, over 70 graves had collapsed and it took tonnes of soil to refill. So many volunteers from all the communities all united in Khidmat.
May Allah SWT reward them all and make us one strong Ummah."

Saleh Al Jafarawi has been martyred.

According to local reports he was kidnapped and executed by Israeli-backed gangs in Gaza. He was shot 7 times when his only weapon was his camera 📷

May Allah bless him with Jannatul Firdaus along with all those that have been martyred in Gaza.

Community Update – Chester Street Mosque Incident

Many members of our community have expressed concern following an incident that occurred yesterday evening at Chester Street Mosque during madresa pick-up time.

In brief according to witnesses, police officers exited a riot van and entered the mosque car park, where they forcibly removed and handcuffed a sister who was simply there to collect her children. After a few minutes, officers reportedly apologised and released her without further action.

This incident has now been formally reported, and we are seeking clarity on why such force was used against a parent in a peaceful setting. Whilst logging the complaint I was informed that recent events in Manchester may have heightened police alertness,
The police had neither reasonable grounds nor any visible suspicion to justify such an approach.there appears to have been no justification for the manner in which this sister was treated.

A formal complaint has been logged and i will continue to follow up to ensure transparency and accountability.

We kindly ask the community to avoid speculation
