Tea with Jud is a small business run by Jud Pollock. Jud is from Northern Ireland and lives in Blairgowrie.

Jud sells hand thrown pottery through her website, at markets and events and directly from her workshop. You will always be kept up to date with any developments via her website, Instagram and facebook

"My new go to"...

A few of my customers have been telling me this is their new favourite shape to drink from, and I have to agree!

I've been flat out making for .co.uk in the Pens, 17th - 19th October.

Life is extremely busy at the minute so I am very behind schedule! I should have started glazing by now, but I have a couple more days of throwing and then same story as always, I'll be praying I can get everything glazed, lustred and through the kilns in time. If so, I will have some of these Tall Mugs with me!

My 2025 summary.

What an incredible week! I am not even sure where to begin...

It was extremely busy and after not even getting lunch one day, i'm pretty sure I would have gone without a few times, had it not been for shoving bowls of soup in my face!

I have the best friends and the best customers and I want to say thankyou SO much to everyone who took the time to visit me over the past 9 days. It was so good to see you all!

The nicest thing is, so many of you have become friends over time. I don't expect anything at all but you always turn up to show your support and bring me flowers, homemade jam, homegrown veg, hand sewn cakes, treats for Albert & Myrtle and surprise me with lunch or dinner. I know I am insanely lucky to know such great people 🥰

I won't lie, I am pretty shattered now so I think i'll go off grid for a day or two! Then I will be back in the workshop, doing what I love most, being creative.

Hola!

Its been a great start to . Thanks to everyone who visited over the weekend and today!

ALSO, thankyou SO much for the fabulous response to my Picot Pots. You are all so kind with your compliments and I am over the moon you love them as much as I do!

The sun was out today, and there were only a few rain drops, a nice change after all the drizzle and grey yesterday.

I actually can't believe I made these!

I feel like they are so different to everything else I make, yet they are still so me!

I LOVE the block colour, I LOVE the gold and I LOVE love LOOOOOVE the picot edge! Come and see them (or buy them) in real life!

Home baking is the best, isn't it?!

Just in case you missed my e.mail, there are some freshly baked Empire Biscuits for sale on the website!

The online shop is only open for baked goods (ceramic variety) at the moment, and the next proper update will be in December.

As part of my Perthshire Open Studio preparations, today I am planning what buns and cakes to bake. I will definitely be making some fruity treats as there are plenty of berries growing locally.

If you fancy picking some blueberries while you are visiting me, Pick Your Own has just started at the Thomsons fruit farm, right beside my house. More details can be found on their social media -

Although it's still summer, it is starting to feel a little autumnal and I couldn't resist trying out this Apple and Blackberry Crumble Cake. The Blackberries were growing over the lade, outside my workshop. Still warm from the oven, it was absolutely delicious with a dollop of cream.

I am looking after 's shop again this week. It has been so good to be able to get time to think about my business while being away from it (and get paid 😝)

I've been doing some admin and worked on updating some parts of the website. I'm also writing my latest newsletter, so if you were after an Empire Biscuit, I would recommend subscribing to Tea with Jud!

I have also had an instagram cull. I discovered I had about 60 followers from deactivted accounts. I didn't even know they were a thing! Although this has decreased the amount of followers I have, I would rather keep it real over here! So many people see social media as a competition. It's not. Its a brilliant platform to share our and creativity and important information.

Don't get me wrong it's always nice to have likes and new followers, but i'd rather have less and more quality engagement and interactions with you lovely humans. That is much more important to me. So thankyou for following along, I really appreciate your loyality.

Show me a cuter bowl of cherries and I'll eat my socks!

I messed up the rim of this bowl when I was trimming it, but instead of recycling it, I took inspiration from my latest knitting project, my pink picot summer socks.

I cut a Picot Edge on the bowl and of course I had to add some gold lustre for extra bling! I LOVE this bowl, the gold just makes it!!

I have made some more and will glaze them in different colours for . I can't wait to see them all finished!

After a long, hot journey yesterday I completed my 1054 mile round trip for my working holiday to Potfest Suffolk!

What a week! It was great to be back in Haughley Park again after first exhibiting there in 2023. The nicest thing was to see returning customers who had bought my work then, and also hearing they missed me last year!

Thanks so much to Matt and the Potfest crew for making everything so seamless.

One bonus about travelling for work means its the perfect opportunity to spend time with friends and family. This is probably the only advantage of having them dotted around the country!

Not only did help me set up, he took me to see the sights of Suffolk on Monday. It was the perfect way to rest and reboot after a busy weekend before my big drive north. We swam in the sea and ate ice cream. It was just what I needed. Also, thankyou so much to .dawson , , as well, for all your help, fun, and looking after me. Hopefully we can do it all again another time!

The enthusiasm I received for my work and display this weekend was unbelievable. Sometimes I find it hard to accept compliments but it really was very encouraging and refreshing to hear such positive feedback, so thankyou very much.

I'm home feeling happy and grateful for lovely people, great customers, good weather, good times, creativity and Mrs.Tibbs, the air bnb cat 🥰
