I had a very sad weekend, my lovely Grandma (95!) passed away. She had an incredible life. She and my Granbag grew up in Oldham, but lived and travelled around the world. They were probably one of the biggest inspirations behind my sense of adventure and my love of travel. Something I hope I’m passing on to my boys too.

Anyway, I’ve really not been in much of a mood for cleaning… until this morning.

Today I’ve woken up with a mission! I’m ready to blitz this van in preparation for its new owners! By the time I’m done it will be gleaming, will smell fresh and will be ready for new adventures!

After dropping the family at the airport in Essaouira and driving for 4 days of I’ve made it up Morocco and Spain to Santander where I’m just about to board the Pont-Aven to Portsmouth. Let’s hope for a smooth crossing through the Bay of Biscay and I’ll be back to the UK in 24 hours.

I made it up Morocco and am currently waiting at Tangier Med port to board the ferry to back to Algeciras which should be here in about an hour.
Whilst I was charging last I noticed I was next to a car wash so I got the guy to give The Buzz a good clean and she’s looking all fresh & new again.
I queued for a couple of hours to get through all the checks, which was fairly thorough, but the experience was much better than going through Ceuta.
I’ll find a parkup near Algeciras tonight and start making my way up Spain tomorrow ready for the ferry from Santander to Portsmouth on Monday.

We’ve just released our final video from this summer’s 2025 motorhome adventure on YouTube. We return to the Dusseldorf Messe Centre to show the boys our favourite van.
Can we get their approval?
Then finally it’s time to make the last leg of our epic trip with a free stop off in France.
We put a post on Instagram & Facebook to see if you had any questions for us to answer whilst on the way back to the UK, and we answer these questions before ending at one of our favourite greasy spoon cafes.

It’s been another amazing day hanging with these guys in Essaouira and we still have a couple of days left, however as I was reminded last night, I’ve then got to get me and The Buzz back home again so yesterday I booked the Ferry from Santander and have allowed myself 4 days to drive there.
I hope you’ve been enjoying the photos and behind the scenes updates on here whilst I’ve been away filming. When I get home I have a heck of a lot of footage to go through and edit into a series for you that should hopefully take us up to Christmas with the first episode due out a week on Sunday.
