Rosie Yates, 16, has a neurological condition called Rasmussen’s Encephalitis - a lifechanging condition that has left her wheelchair bound 95% of the time.

When Rosie was eight a rash on her hand we at first thought was eczema, but instead of her immune system fighting the rash it fought her brain instead.

She has now faced long stints and even suffers from periods of severe seizures- at times enduring up to a 100 a day.

But, Rosie has not let it stopped her pursuing her dream of becoming a children's author and is working on a book inspired by the North East.
