Our phone system is now back up and running.

A number of customers had reported problems when calling the studios in terms of phone call quality in the last 6 months to us and so we've sought to switch providers and are using a different form of cloud voice service which so far, touch wood, appears to have a superior quality.

Just incase anyone has been trying the phone line today, we are currently in the middle of a move in broadband and phone services and are in the process of setting up our new phone system. We will update you once the phone line is back on.

Just a quick message to say that the studios will be closed Saturday this week as I am away. We still have slots available tomorrow (Thursday 13th of November) and Sunday 16th of November.

Going into next week we have had a couple cancellations freeing up an 8-10 slot on Tuesday 18th and on Thursday 20th of November. Friday 21st remains available before 8pm with availability all day (during standard opening times) on Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd of November.

If anyone is interested in booking in and booking ahead for December dates, we are heading into the Christmas rush and would advise bands get booked in early to avoid disappointment.

*ANNOUNCEMENT*

Over the last 3 or 4 weeks we have been making customers aware that the landlord has contacted us with a rent increase of 75%, and a Term Commencement Date of ASAP. This equates to around £400 per month on top of what we already pay with very little time to consider the long-term implications of it. Whilst we are contesting the scale of the rent rise, we accept that a rent increase of at least 50% is likely.

For this reason, we we have consulted with long term and regular customers over the past month regarding the possibility of closure, and the response has been overwhelmingly positive towards raising the room hire charge by £2 per hour to help cover this rise.

As of today Monday 13th of October, we will be raising the Room Hire charge to £20 per hour. All current customers have been advised of this room rent increase in the last two weeks.

This is a very reluctant decision, but the alternative is to shut our doors, which after serving the local music community for 21 years as both My Big Bedroom Studios under Mark Whiteman and Pulse Music Productions under Chris and Keith Bradley, we feel would be a shame to lose.

We would like to thank our very loyal and dedicated customer base for all the support you have offered, at what has been a very stressful time for all involved.
