One Bognor is about Better Local Government for our Town. The whole Bognor Urban area, from Pagham to Bersted to Elmer, has 63,000 people. There are EIGHT Councils covering all or part of the area: West Sussex and Arun (whole) and

parish-level for Aldwick, Bersted, Bognor Town, Felpham, Middleton and Pagham. Is that too many? One Bognor wants to find out:

Do we want to abolish Arun and create a new Urban Town Council out of the six parish councils above, total 8 Councils to have just 2 - A Unitary Council doing what West Sussex and Arun do now and a new Bognor Urban Area Town Council) or do we stay the same? What kind of REGENERATION do we want for Bognor Regis?

‘Home Office letter’ requisitioning former social club for migrants is fake

A letter from the Home Office to Gloucestershire County Council and Gloucester City Council outlines government plans to requisition a former social club, The Wall’s Club, to be used as a leisure centre for migrants and asylum seekers.

Our verdict

This letter is fake. Both councils, which are listed as recipients, have confirmed they have not received it. And the MP for Gloucester has issued a statement saying it is a “complete fabrication”.
