Bullock on loose in town for 11 days after escape

The 14-month-old limousin escaped from Fulshaw Head farm in Barrowford, Lancashire, at about 07:30 BST on 14 May.

There have been reported sightings in nearby Nelson, and the animal has been caught on CCTV in the town.

Boy shot in head with airgun while getting football

A boy's skull was fractured when he was shot with an airgun while climbing over a fence to get his football back.

The 11-year-old was playing with friends in the back garden of a house on Roadtrain Avenue in Leyland at about 19:20 BST on Monday when the ball went over a fence.

Preston drivers warned as new bus gate opens in city

Buses now have priority in both directions on Corporation Street between Marsh Lane and Heatley Streetin Preston near the university campus.

Lancashire County Council said it hoped the move will "increase the reliability of public transport" in the city.

Blackpool unlicensed taxis are a safety risk, says MP

Chris Webb, the new Blackpool South MP elected in the recent by-election, has taken aim at companies whose taxis operate without a licence.

Driver dies after four-vehicle motorway crash

A man has died after a crash between two lorries and two cars on a motorway, police have said.

The victim, believed to be in his 40s, was driving one of the cars on the M58 near Skelmersdale, where the collision occurred at about 13:00 BST on Friday, Lancashire Police said.

Man attacked with hammer and machete on bridge

The victim, aged in his 20s, was struck in the head after he was approached by two men on Millennium Bridge in Lancaster in the early hours of 11 May.
