Arguably his best showing yet in goal. Heroics all night kept his team in it.

❤️ Reds – Matt Barlow
Looked sharp, linked play well, and showed real hunger. Big shift.

Back from holiday and straight back to business! A defensive wall and key to launching attacks.

🏆 JULY PLAYER OF THE MONTH – DANNY ROWE 🏆

We are delighted to announce that Danny Rowe has been named our Player of the Month for July.

Danny has shown outstanding commitment and consistency throughout the month, attending regularly and delivering top-level performances on a weekly basis. His efforts were highlighted by a recent Man of the Match display, along with recognition as Player of the Week.

On and off the pitch, Danny sets an excellent example—always encouraging those around him and giving 100% every time he steps onto the field. His work ethic, attitude, and dedication make him an invaluable member of the group.

A fantastic player and an even better teammate—well done, Danny. This recognition is thoroughly deserved. 👏

⚽ Talking Football – Monday Night at Bolton Arena ⚽

Another fantastic Monday evening session at Bolton Arena, with 38 lads taking part – including two new faces joining the fold. Great to have you with us! 👏

We ran 5 teams of 8, rotating every 10 minutes across two pitches – giving everyone a chance to play, rest, and most importantly, connect. Plenty of football, plenty of chat. Just the way we like it. 💬⚽

🏆Players of the Week🏆

🔴 Red Team – Mike Howarth
Rolled back the years with some top-tier passing and finishes – including an absolute thunderbolt into the top corner. 🚀

🟢 Green Team – Dan Brown
Full of energy from start to finish. Solid in defence, dangerous in attack, and even grabbed a few rare goals. 💪

🔵 Blue Team – Matt Redmond
His progress is showing every week. Calm on the ball, smart in defence, and great at launching attacks. 👏

⚪ White Team – Andy Sedwell
The Rolls Royce of the pitch. Ice-cool and smooth, channelling his inner Franco Baresi. A joy to watch. 🛡️

🟡 Non-Bibs – Jim Bailey
Small in size, huge in impact. Non-stop energy and a real nuisance for defenders. Tireless performance. 🔋

But the night didn’t end there…

After the session, we headed over to our new sponsor The Bridge Hotel for our AGM. A big thank you to them for their support – and for the pizzas they provided for the lads! 🍕🔥

It was a brilliant way to wrap things up – full of laughs, chat, and proper banter. Exactly what Talking Football is all about. 💬❤️

🎉 OUR BIGGEST TOTAL YET! 🎉

We’re absolutely thrilled to announce that, with all funds now in from our Charity Match at the Toughsheet Community Stadium and the Music Event at The Ramp – both held this May – we’ve raised a record-breaking total of just over £10,000! 💥

This is our largest fundraising total to date, and we couldn’t have done it without the incredible support from our community. 🙌

Alongside the events, we’d also like to recognise the amazing individual fundraising efforts, with several supporters donating directly to the charities. Every bit has made a difference and helped us reach this milestone. ❤️

The funds have been split equally between three brilliant causes:

We’re buzzing to announce the launch of a third weekly session – now including Friday evenings from 18:00 to 19:00 at Bolton Arena, kicking off Friday 20th June! 🔥🙌

Thanks to the incredible support from our friends at Bolton Arena and the growing demand from our amazing community, we’ve secured a brand-new slot to finish the week strong! 💪

That’s now a session at the start, middle, and end of the week – bringing you football, fitness, fun, and great company every time. 💬⚽️😁
