My business development tip for you this week is - build your network. It seems obvious but I cannot emphasise how important this is for growing your business.
But how do you do this?
👊🏼 Attend events with networking opportunities including conferences, awards dinners, trade shows, networking events.
👊🏼 Join associations or communities where there are businesses that have synergy with yours, for example in the same industry, working with similar clients, offering complimentary services to yours.
👊🏼 Be visible where your ideal client is likely to see you - this could be at a trade show, in industry press, industry directories or on social media.
Do all the above with the intention of relationship first. Yes, you need to be able to tell people what you/your business does, but focus on building a relationship first, by being as interested in them as much as you are in their business.
