GloRilla has plans to do an R&B album.

On Wednesday (Nov. 19), the Memphis rapper announced that she will be expanding her sound with a future release. “& I will be doing a rnb album,” she tweeted.

In a new interview with XXL, Glo revealed she is currently perfecting her sophomore album for release next year. She may be drawing inspo for another project down the line, considering she has some R&B features coming up.

“I got a few R&B features,” she said. “Actually, right now, I have a feature on my album from this young guy from Memphis named EJ Jones. I feel like he gon’ be the next biggest star ’cause he got that soul. And he’s young. He ain’t nothing but like 22, I think. I love soulful music.”

A move like this isn’t surprising since Big Glo has been recognized for her music in other genres outside of rap. Earlier this year, she won the Dr. Bobby Jones Best Gospel/Inspirational Award at the 2025 BET Awards for her song “Rain Down On Me” featuring Kirk Franklin, Maverick City Music, Kierra Sheard and Chandler Moore. The track appeared on her 2024 debut album, Glorious.
