Developed in partnership with Klara Suto-Cort, Positive Action Officer (Resourcing & Development) and Afro*disiac Live Radio CIC

We are proud to introduce Rooted & Rising: Black Voices of Dorset, a powerful new podcast series dedicated to celebrating identity, resilience, and cultural pride within our Black communities across Dorset.

Rather than limiting these conversations to a single month, we are committed to sustained, year-round storytelling. Each month, we will welcome one or two inspiring guests to share their lived experiences, perspectives, challenges, triumphs, and the rich cultural foundations that shape their journeys.

This ongoing platform reflects a shared vision: to honour the voices that too often go unheard, to build deeper understanding, and to strengthen community connections through authentic dialogue.

The series officially launched on 21 November at the Afro*disiac Live Radio studios, marking the beginning of a new chapter in storytelling and representation.

Follow the journey, share the conversations, and stand with us as we uplift the voices that continue to shape Dorset’s cultural landscape.
