A huge thank you to South Western Railway for inviting Afro*disiac Live Radio CIC to be part of the 140th Birthday Celebration of Pokesdown Station! 🎉🚉
Being based just two doors from the station, it was a real privilege to celebrate such an important local landmark with our community.
The day gave us the opportunity to share the work we do as a Community Interest Company, bringing people together through music, culture, youth development and community events. It was also a great chance to introduce people to our upcoming Bournemouth Reggae Weekender, taking place this July, where we'll once again celebrate the very best of British reggae and Caribbean culture on the South Coast.
Events like this remind us how important strong local partnerships are. When organisations come together, we create opportunities, celebrate our shared heritage and build stronger communities for everyone.
Thank you once again to everyone at South Western Railway for your warm welcome and for allowing us to be part of this special milestone. Here's to the next 140 years! ❤️
