A beautiful moment on the Bosphorus as cruise ships, ferries and tourist boats move across the waters of Istanbul, with the iconic Bosphorus Bridge stretching between the European and Asian sides of the city.

Such a beautiful moment watching this school of silvery fish swimming together at Istanbul Aquarium. They look a lot like sea bream, and every time they turn, their scales catch the light and suddenly flash silver through the dark blue water.

Simple, peaceful and absolutely mesmerising to watch.

A beautiful handmade gift from Istanbul.

We stopped at a small handmade crystal gift shop and bought a few lovely items. Before we left, this kind gentleman surprised us by making a tiny glass cat by hand as a gift. Even better, he let us watch the whole process as he carefully shaped the hot glass right in front of us.

Thank you for the lovely gift and for showing us how something so small and beautiful is created by hand. A very special memory from Istanbul.

Buying ice cream in Istanbul is not as easy as you think!

A funny moment at Meşhur Dondurmacı Pala in Bahçekapı, Fatih, where getting your Turkish ice cream becomes a little show of its own! The seller keeps offering the cone, pulling it away at the last second, spinning it around and tricking you again and again before finally letting you have it.

This playful Turkish dondurma tradition makes buying an ice cream almost as much fun as eating it!

I stood there with my camera ready, waiting for this adorable stingray to glide past, and finally it came right towards me! Such a cute and peaceful moment at Istanbul Aquarium.

After arriving in Kadıköy by public ferry, we started walking from the waterfront towards the famous Kadıköy Bull Statue. It took us around 15 minutes on foot, crossing the busy streets and enjoying the lively atmosphere of the Asian side of Istanbul along the way.

As the sun slowly sets over Istanbul, the Kadıköy ferry prepares for another journey across the water. People hurry aboard, the ferry pulls away from the pier, gently turns, and begins its journey towards the European side of the city.

Just an ordinary evening commute in Istanbul, but from the waterfront, it feels like a scene from a movie.
