Tonight, 17th July, the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team will be swapping the racetrack for the football pitch, facing off against the Aston Martin F1 Team in their annual Charity Football Match at Brackley Town Football Club.

Everyone’s welcome, and tickets will be available to buy on the gate. All proceeds will go to the teams’ chosen charities: Helen & Douglas House and Northamptonshire Health Charity.

Expect an evening full of entertainment, with show cars from both teams on display, live music from 6pm, and two exciting matches lined up.

🟣 Women’s match kicks off at 6pm
🟢 Men’s match kicks off at 7.30pm

It’s set to be a fantastic community event, in our fantastic town - don’t miss it!

Looking for something fun and active to do in Brackley? 🏋️‍♀️🏊‍♂️⚽

Brackley Leisure Centre really does have something for everyone. From their 100-station gym and over 60 weekly fitness classes, to two brilliant swimming pools offering both family fun and lessons for all ages.

Little ones can enjoy soft play or gymnastics sessions, and older kids can join in with badminton, basketball, pickleball, netball, and more.

During the school holidays, WR Sports run fantastic holiday clubs to keep them busy and active!

It’s a real hub for health, fitness and family fun right here in the heart of our community. 💚

The Romans Are Coming… to Brackley! 🇮🇹⚔️

Did you know Brackley was once part of a thriving Roman settlement? From pottery and coins to a half life-sized bronze portrait of Emperor Marcus Aurelius (with blue glass eyes!), local excavations have uncovered some incredible history right beneath our feet.

You can now see a selection of Roman finds that have kindly been shared by local detectorist James Possinger - on display at Brackley Community Museum - found inside Brackley Library over the next few months.

Meet Bernie Tiller - Brackley’s newest Mayor! 🎉

From chef and railway worker to DJ, AA veteran, and community champion, Bernie brings heart, rhythm, and a deep love for Brackley to his new role.

A passionate supporter of youth and mental health (through his chosen charity “B”), Bernie’s been a Scout leader, youth coordinator, and a familiar face at local events like the Soap Box Derby.

Though the role came as a surprise, Bernie is embracing it with dedication and pride, ready to serve the town he proudly calls home!

Run by amazing volunteers, the Larder offers low-cost groceries through a simple points system (plus FREE fruit, veg & bread!). It’s part of the Food For Thought Daventry network and helps tackle food waste via FareShare and surplus from local supermarkets

Do you know an under 16 passionate about football and looking to join a team?

Brackley Athletic’s U15 & U16 squads (next season) are looking for a few more players!

Friendly teams, Sunday matches, regular training - perfect for anyone in Year 9 or 10.

Brackley Athletic’s two teams at current under 15s/under 16s next season are looking for a couple more players to add to their friendly, committed squads.

Both teams compete on Sunday mornings in the Oxfordshire Youth League.
‘Athletic’ at Div C/D level, training on Friday evenings.
‘Jaffas’ at Div E/F level, training on Weds evenings.

Anyone currently in year 9 or 10 will be made very welcome - you might be looking to get back into football, or looking for a Sunday team alongside your Saturday side. You’ll be joining a great club and a friendly group of players.
