Serious Collision Closes Low Moor Junction

Emergency services are responding to a serious crash in Low Moor, Bradford, tonight. The incident, involving a motorcycle and a car, occurred at the junction of Abb Scott Lane and Huddersfield Road.

The road is closed with cordons in place. Drivers are advised to avoid the area and find alternative routes.

Fire Breaks Out at Abandoned Bradford School

A blaze erupted at the derelict Yorkshire Martyrs school, located adjacent to the newly built Tong Leadership Academy, this evening. The fire, at an abandoned building, prompted a swift response from local fire services.

Multiple fire engines rushed to the scene. The cause of the blaze remains unclear, and no injuries have been reported at this stage.

Air Ambulance Lands in Bradford After Southgate Incident

An air ambulance has touched down on Infirmary Fields off Westgate in Bradford following an incident at the nearby Southgate NCP car park.

Police have set up cordons around the area, with an ambulance also present at the scene below the multi-storey car park.

Emergency services are responding to the situation, but further details about the incident remain undisclosed.

Police are appealing for information following the launch of a murder investigation in Bradford.

Detectives have made arrests and would like to speak to anyone who saw or has footage of a disorder incident this afternoon (Friday 6 June) in the Newton Street area.

Police were called to the area at 2.31pm to a report of a number of men fighting in the street with what were described as bladed weapons.

Emergency services attended the incident and found a 19-year-old male who suffered serious injuries.

He was provided with medical care but sadly died at the scene.

A number of police scenes are in place and officers have made four arrests in connection with the incident so far.

One male has been arrested on suspicion of murder and three men have been arrested on suspicion of offences including affray.

DCI Dan Bates, of the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team, who is leading the investigation, said: “A full investigation is ongoing into what has clearly been a very serious incident which has resulted in a young man losing his life.
“A number of initial arrests have been made and we are appealing for witnesses and information, as we work to determine the full circumstances of what took place.
“We will have a number of police scenes in place over the course of the evening and uniformed officers will also be patrolling to reassure residents. Colleagues from Bradford District’s Stronger Communities Team are also working to liaise with partners in communities.

Major Fire Engulfs Swimming Pool in Bradford

A significant fire has broken out at a swimming pool, located next to Dixons Allerton Academy off Oaks Lane in Bradford, this evening.

Thick plumes of smoke are visible from miles away, indicating the severity of the blaze.

Emergency services are at the scene, working to contain the fire.

No details on the cause or extent of the damage have been released yet.

Police and council crackdown on high powered cars parking terribly.

The authorities have begun to crack down on unused vehicles causing chaos for local residents, starting in the bd5 and bd7 areas although this is expected to grow.

Police have started to remove the troublesome vehicles as owners ‘do as they please’ with regards to double yellow lines.
