Composer Karlheinz Stockhausen during rehearsals at Huddersfield Town Hall for his work Sternklang ("Star Sound"), as photographed by Asadour in an early commission for the Sunday Times. The piece was being staged in Britain for the first time as part of the 1988 Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival. During Stockhausen's visit, a section of the town hall's ceiling collapsed onto his mixing desk, narrowly missing him. The festival's 48th edition runs from 21 to 30 November.

Asadour's pictures of silhouette soldiers created by ACS Steel Fixings of Leeds for Armistice Day were published in the Yorkshire Post and the Times. This year's design, inspired by a photograph of Queen Elizabeth II as an Auxiliary Territorial Service soldier in 1945, was the first to feature a female combatant.

Maddie, our apprentice photographer, spotted that a Yorkshire distillery we'd previously photographed had won gold for one of its whiskies, and duly filed stock images to all the papers. The Yorkshire Post used one on its cover today.
