OK, so this is completely out of my comfort zone, just as it is for many of the incredible people who’ll be stepping onto the runway for the very first time.

In another first, this will be an 'outdoor' fashion show, rare and possibly the first of its kind in the UK.

At some point, many of us have felt judged for how we dress, how we look, or for the so-called imperfections we carry, or even for the choices we’ve made to change them. Big size or small, brown, black or white, botox or no botox, we all deserve to be exactly who we want to be. No judgement, just love, and the freedom to become the best version of ourselves.

'Threads of Grace: Power of You' is a fashion show with a difference, taking place on:

📌 20th July at Lister Park, Bradford.

Real people, everyday people, will walk the runway, telling their stories 'their way'. It’s time we owned our fashion, our bodies, and our confidence, without bowing to trends or expectations.

We’re also using this platform to raise vital funds for two incredible charities: , who support those affected by ovarian cancer, and , who provide care for children with life-shortening conditions and their families. 10% of every ticket sold will go directly to these charities, or, if you wish, you can also donate to these life-changing charities directly.

Excited to be joining a powerful panel of women in York to discuss growth and expansion for women in the food industry.

This is a topic incredibly close to my heart. Women continue to be under represented in the food sector - especially in leadership roles, where only 14% of executive positions are held by women. That gap is too wide.

When I launched the Bradford Curry Awards back in 2018, my goal was simple: to champion the incredible, yet often overlooked, talent of women in the industry. I wanted to create a platform where women could be visible, celebrated, and inspired to take their rightful place in what was (and still largely is) a male-dominated field.

Seven years on, I’m proud to say we’ve seen real progress. More women are stepping into entrepreneurship, kitchens, and boardrooms, but we’re not done yet.

Let’s keep pushing boundaries, breaking barriers, and lifting each other up.

If you haven't already, book your tickets andjoin us on Tuesday 24th Juky

The best part of being Bradford bound is regular night out's with my special duo.

Today dining at The Sweet Centre Restaurant - Established 1964 was a truly special experience, as they prepare to celebrate an extraordinary milestone - 60 years on Thursday, 12th December.

This iconic establishment stands as a testament to Bradford's pioneering role in the curry industry, built on a foundation of tradition, authenticity, and generations of history, heritage, and culture.

Congratulations to the entire team for this remarkable legacy. Here’s to honouring your incredible journey and celebrating a year that will be remembered for generations to come. 🎉

Yesterday was International Men's Day, so I want to take a moment to express my gratitude to the incredible men who have positively impacted my journey.

As a brown, single Muslim woman in a male-dominated industry, it hasn’t always been easy. Women in our communities often bear the weight of upholding respect and honour, while the constant glare of "what will people say?" can deter us from pursuing our goals and ambitions.

I’m fortunate to have an incredible father who, despite initial hesitations (especially around late-night work), supported my journey in media. His belief in me has been a cornerstone of my success.

I also want to pay tribute to the men who have treated me with respect, saw me for my talent, not just my gender or appearance and put their trust in my work and abilities. These are the men who didn’t take advantage but instead stood up for me, encouraged me when I stumbled, and helped me learn from my mistakes.

To these men: your support has made a tangible difference in my life and career. You are role models, not just for men, but for women like me who appreciate and value your integrity and encouragement. Some of the opportunities I have today wouldn’t have been possible without you.

Thank you for continuing to inspire, support, and uplift. We need more of you in the world, so others can take your lead and we can get closer to a more gender equal society.

We certainly had the best table, hosted by someone who I now consider a dear friend Thank you Sunny and Sian for the amazing hospitality. You will always be winners for us. 🎉

It was an honour to be amongst industry greats and to hear and celebrate their contributions and achievements to the media industry. Special congrats to my dear friend and Arika for their incredible win 🎉

All winners, nominees and the people in that room left me feeling inspired, but also energised to do more and deliver more powerful stories. Proud and happy to be part of this incredible industry.
