An extremely satisfying job in Idle this week.

This customer had been terribly advised and even misled on what was needed here by two other companies. We were very happy that they chose us to carry out the work.

The enormous old Freeview TV aerial needed to be removed, as the chimney stack is due to be removed. The customer needed to retain a Freeview signal though, as it’s used in several rooms in this lovely home.

We fitted a new, very small ‘mini log’ at the far side of the bungalow, keeping it very discreet, as the customer had requested. Digitally aligned to the Idle transmitter, then retuning all the TVs to the corresponding frequencies.

Excellent signal levels throughout, giving perfect pictures.

Nice to get this job completed for one of our commercial clients in Shipley this morning.

Due to the height involved, it wasn’t safe to do from ladders so we used a local firm to give us platform access to get the job done.

Perfect Freeview TV reception restored to all apartments in the block.

“Losing signal when it rains” was the complaint with this one near the BRI in Bradford this nice, warm autumn morning.

An old Sky dish used for free to air Asian channels, where the LNB had failed due to the cap failing and water ingress. Despite the dish being very old, we converted a new LNB to fit and realigned it.

Checked signals on both connected TVs in the customer’s home and all was good.

How times have changed!

This ad is from 1989, when a 22” TV was £399.99 and a VHS video recorder was £329.99.

The average wage in the UK back then was £270 a week.

A similar size TV nowadays can be bought for around a hundred quid, with the average UK wage apparently being £700!

We were called to this satellite dish used for Italian TV which wasn’t giving a signal.

Sadly, it wasn’t serviceable due to extensive corrosion.

We fitted a new Blake 60cm dish aligned perfectly to the Hotbird satellite, which restored perfect pictures.

We’ll be going back soon to remove the old dish - with cutting gear!

Until then, a very happy Italian customer.

Retro-fit of a 55” LG OLED TV into a media wall in Leeds this week.

This lovely customer had bought the house and wanted to make their TV fit as well as possible to fill the aperture, with just a 30mm gap - which helps the heat escape ftom the set. Angled forward slightly as the viewing distance is minimal.

We also fitted a Freesat LNB to the existing SkyQ dish and connected the TV up to receive all Freesat channels.

A 5 star review followed, which we are extremely grateful for.

Couldn’t quite believe what we saw on this one this morning. An enormous TV aerial which had caused substantial damage to this chimney. Incredibly, it had been roped to the chimney pots by someone quite recently. We safely removed if and chose a suitable location on the gable end to install a new Freeview aerial aligned to the Emley Moor transmitter.

Perfect signals, despite the poor reception in the area. Happy customer. We’ve even arranged for a builder friend to go sort the chimney!

One of the many services we provide is VHS (and other formats) transfer to DVD/digital files.

All these belong to one customer and it’s been a mammoth task, saving wonderful family memories going back to the 80s and digitising them.

Each tape is transferred to a single DVD and all 19 are on a single USB stick, which will play on almost all smart TVs.

The service is £10 per tape.

We were called out to a faulty CCTV system last week, where we traced the fault to the DVR (recorder) itself.

The customer had it installed 3 years ago and was under the impression they had a HikVision system and DVR. But as it was tucked away in the loft, they never actually checked.

Turns out the DVR was a ‘ProLux’ - a brand even we’ve never come across.

If that wasn’t bad enough, the hard drive in it was the cheapest, non surveillance spec version - and was 10 years old!

We supplied and fitted a brand new HikVision DVR with a 1Tb Seagate Skyhawk surveillance spec hard drive - all covered by a 3 year parts and labour guarantee.
