Busy, busy Monday.

3 satellite dish problems sorted before lunch - the first had been moved out of alignment when the fascias and soffits had been done. Lowered it a couple of inches to clear them, realigned it and fitted a Freesat LNB. The second was a temporary dish relocation to scaffolding whilst our friends at Hewson Roofing work on this property. The third was a simple realignment, it had been knocked when the property had been re-rendered.

Onto Thornton after lunch to fit a new Freeview aerial, restoring excellent reception on all channels from the Emley Moor transmitter.

A couple of little retune jobs on our way back towards home and ended up saving a customer over £40 a month on their Sky bill with out haggling advice!

‘No satellite signal’ was the reported fault on this lovely home in Eldwick.

As soon as we pulled up, it was obvious to us the trees were to blame for the loss of signal. We did some signal tests but we were proved correct - it was the trees.

The dish had been jacked up on the pole in the pictures a few years ago to clear them but as they’ve grown, the problem has of course returned.

The customer was only using the dish for Freesat, so we looked at reinstating the old TV aerial, which was quite possibly 25+ years old. Once we’d carried out some signal tests and discovered it was still providing a good Freeview signal, we set about some rewiring.

In no time, we’d disconnected the Freesat feed to two TVs and fed the Freeview signal into them both. A quick retune and the customer was smiling again - live TV restored at minimal cost.

By the time we got to our next call, they’d paid our bill and written this lovely 5 star review too.

Love, love, love this!

The day before England’s quarter final last Saturday, they had no live TV - then we stepped in!

New Freesat dish & receiver installed and connected to all three big screens.

Amazing to see what a great night it turned out to be.

Always happy to support other local businesses - in this case, Fields Sports & Social Club - who were desperate to get their 3 big TV screens up and running before the England quarter final on Saturday night.

Despite the tight schedule and 30 plus degree heat, we removed the old, scrap Sky dishes and fitted a new Freesat dish and got their system up and running.

Great club - happy we could help them out.
