x of music, information and news has already won the station a large and loyal following, which is rapidly increasing and is the only effective tool for reaching the Asian Community in Yorkshire and Manchester for advertisers and service providers. The SUNRISE RADIO studios are based in Bradford city centre and our mix of programming aims to take into account the areas diverse population, something that no other radio station in the region has previously attempted. Our popular Road Show Crew perform at all of the North’s leading Melas and together with community groups organise wonderful outdoor events such as the annual Masti in the Market in Leeds Open Air Kirkgate market

SUNRISE RADIO was named Media of the Year 2004 and has been Ethnic Media of the Year in both 2001 and 2002. We reach 74.5% of our TSA according to independent research which equates to 150,000 – 170,000 Asian Listeners each week on the FM licence alone although the potential to reach a bigger audience is realised by the fact that we also broadcast on the internet and on the digital radio (DAB) as well. We are also the only commercial Asian Station in the UK to team up with another station in Pakistan and broadcast to areas such as Jhelum, Mirpur etc.

Wishing all our wonderful Listeners a very Happy New Year from everyone at Sunrise Radio ✨🎉

As we begin 2026, we want to take a moment to thank you for being such an important part of the Sunrise Radio family. Your continued love, loyalty, and support throughout 2025 have meant the world to us, and we are truly grateful for every message, call, and moment you have shared with us.

Looking back, 2025 has been an exciting and memorable year for Sunrise Radio. Alongside our trusted 103.2 FM service, we were proud to expand our reach with the launch of a new FM frequency across Calderdale and Keighley on 100.6 FM, allowing us to connect with even more listeners across Yorkshire. We also continued broadcasting on DAB+ across Bradford, Leeds, Manchester, East Lancashire, and Milton Keynes, with Halifax DAB launching very soon.

This year also brought a very proud moment for the Sunrise family, as Usha Parmar received a Lifetime Achievement Award in July, recognising her lifelong dedication and service to the community. Thanks to this growth and your continued support, our listenership has increased across both our main service and Sunrise Radio Gold, which broadcasts across Bradford, Leeds, and East Lancashire and will soon be available on Halifax DAB as well.

We also celebrated a remarkable milestone — 36 years of Sunrise Radio — a journey made possible by the incredible support of our listeners, partners, and wider community. As we look ahead through 2026, we have plenty of exciting plans to share, including the much-anticipated return of the Listener Choice Awards.

l, thank you for being part of the Sunrise Radio journey. Your loyalty and support continue to inspire us, and we can’t wait to share another year of music, connection, and community with you.

Warmest wishes,
Usha & Raj Parmar
Directors, Sunrise Radio
