POV: Don’t do this to your woman

Pov: Listen to the truth

18/09/2026

You can love a man deeply, care for him, support him, and stand by him—but when he feels respected, valued, and trusted, the relationship takes on a different meaning.

Love makes him feel wanted.
Respect makes him feel valued.

And in a healthy relationship, both love and respect should go hand in hand.

18/09/2026

Ladies, don’t underestimate the power of your words. Your husband may leave home every morning carrying responsibilities, pressure, bills, expectations, and dreams that he may not always talk about.

Sometimes, a simple message during his working hours can lift his spirit:

“My love, I know you’re working hard. May everything go well for you today. Good luck, and please take care of yourself. I’m proud of you.”

And when he finishes work, don’t let the day end without asking:

“How was your day? I hope everything went well. Welcome home, my love.”

It’s not always about money, gifts, or expensive surprises. Sometimes, emotional support is the gift a person needs most.

Marriage is partnership. Just as a woman deserves encouragement, appreciation, and emotional support, a man also needs to know that the woman he loves is genuinely in his corner.

Ladies, encourage your husbands.
Men, appreciate your wives.
Love should feel like home—not another place to fight for acceptance.

WISE MEN SAY…

“Wise men say, only fools rush in… but I can’t help falling in love with you.”

Daniel knew the warning.

He had watched friends fall in love too quickly, give everything too soon, and end up with nothing but memories and unanswered questions.

So when Amaka walked into his life, he made a promise to himself:

“This time, I will take my time.”

He didn’t know that love doesn’t always ask for permission.

At first, it was just conversations.

Then good morning texts.

Then late-night calls that neither of them wanted to end.

Then Daniel started noticing the little things.

The way Amaka laughed when she was nervous.

The way she became quiet whenever something was bothering her.

The way she always asked, “Have you eaten?” even when she was the one who hadn’t eaten.

He tried to convince himself it was nothing.

“We’re just friends.”

But one evening, Amaka didn’t call.

Daniel checked his phone.

Nothing.

He waited.

Still nothing.

For the first time, he realized something frightening.

Her silence was hurting him.

That was when he understood.

He wasn’t just enjoying her company anymore.

He had fallen in love.

When Amaka finally called the next morning, Daniel answered immediately.

“Why didn’t you call me yesterday?”

There was silence.

Then she laughed softly.

“Were you worried about me?”

Daniel smiled.

“Yes.”

“How much?”

He took a deep breath.

“Enough to realize that I’m in trouble.”

“Trouble?”

“Yes.”

“What kind?”

Daniel looked at the phone and whispered:

“The kind where I can’t help falling in love with you.”

Amaka didn’t speak.

And for several seconds, neither did Daniel.

Then she said quietly:

“Maybe you’re not the only fool who fell.”

Sometimes love doesn’t come when you’re ready.

It doesn’t wait until your finances are perfect.

It doesn’t wait until you’ve figured out your entire life.

Sometimes it simply walks into your life, sits beside you, becomes your favorite person…

And before you know it,

your heart has already made a decision your mind was trying to prevent.

Because perhaps wise men are right:

Only fools rush in.

But when the right person comes along…

even the wisest heart can become a fool for love. ❤️

TWO YEARS LATER…
DANIEL WAS READY TO MARRY AMAKA.

He had the ring.

He had saved money.

Both families had agreed.

Everything seemed perfect.

Until one night…

Daniel received a call from an unknown number.

“Hello?”

A man’s voice answered.

“Are you Daniel?”

“Yes. Who is this?”

There was silence for a few seconds.

Then the man said:

“I think you deserve to know what Amaka has been hiding from you.”

Daniel’s heart dropped.

“What are you talking about?”

“Meet me tomorrow. Alone.”

The call ended.

THE NEXT DAY

Daniel couldn’t concentrate at work.

He kept looking at his phone.

He wanted to call Amaka.

But something stopped him.

At 6pm, he went to the location.

A man was waiting.

Daniel walked toward him.

“Who are you?”

The man looked at him.

“My name is Victor.”

Daniel frowned.

“Amaka and I used to be together.”

Daniel’s face became serious.

“What do you want?”

Victor brought out his phone.

“I’m not here to fight you.”

“I’m here because Amaka owes me the truth.”

He showed Daniel several old photographs.

Daniel recognized Amaka immediately.

But there was something strange.

In every photograph…

she was pregnant.

Daniel’s hands became cold.

“When was this?”

Victor looked at him.

“Three years ago.”

Daniel stared at the pictures.

Three years ago…

That was the same year Amaka told him she had gone abroad to study.

Daniel whispered:

“Who is the child?”

Victor looked away.

“That’s exactly what you should ask her.”

THAT NIGHT

Daniel went home.

Amaka was smiling when she opened the door.

“Baby, you’re back!”

Daniel didn’t smile.

He placed his phone on the table.

The photographs were displayed on the screen.

Amaka looked at them.

Her smile disappeared.

For almost a minute…

she said nothing.

Daniel’s voice was quiet.

“Tell me the truth.”

Amaka sat down.

Tears immediately filled her eyes.

“Daniel…”

He interrupted her.

“Don’t explain yet.”

“Just answer one question.”

He took a deep breath.

“Where is the child?”

Amaka covered her face.

And then she said something Daniel never expected.

“The child is yours.”

Daniel froze.

“What?”

“Your daughter.”

Silence.

Daniel couldn’t breathe.

“My daughter?”

Amaka nodded.

“Her name is Sofia.”

Daniel sat down.

“Why didn’t you tell me?”

Amaka started crying.

“Because I was afraid.”

“Afraid of what?”

She looked directly into his eyes.

“Because Sofia was born with a heart condition.”

Daniel’s eyes filled with tears.

“The doctors told me she needed expensive treatment.”

“I had no money.”

“And I knew you were struggling too.”

“So I sent her to my mother in another state while I went abroad to study and work.”

Daniel stood up.

“You should have told me!”

Amaka cried harder.

“I know.”

“I was wrong.”

“But I didn’t hide her because I didn’t love you.”

“I hid her because I was scared that the pressure would destroy you.”

Daniel couldn’t speak.

Then Amaka opened her phone.

She showed him a video.

A little girl was sitting on a hospital bed.

She looked into the camera and smiled.

“Daddy… Mummy said you are coming to see me soon.”

Daniel’s knees became weak.

He began crying.

Because he had spent two years believing he was preparing for a wedding…

while unknowingly preparing to meet his daughter.

THE FOLLOWING MORNING

Daniel and Amaka drove to the hospital together.

When Daniel entered the room…

the little girl looked at him.

She smiled.

“Daddy?”

Daniel broke down.

He knelt beside her bed.

“Yes, my princess.”

She stretched out her little arms.

And he hugged her.

For the first time in three years…

a father held his daughter.

BUT THERE WAS STILL ONE PROBLEM…

Victor hadn’t told Daniel the entire truth.

Because Victor wasn’t just Amaka’s ex-boyfriend.

He was…

THE DOCTOR TREATING SOFIA.

And he knew something about Sofia’s medical records that even Amaka didn’t know.

TO BE CONTINUED…
