We love summer and our country park is the perfect place to visit for some outdoor family fun. 🌞

Please support us and keep our wildlife safe by remembering these key points:

🔥 Follow our NO BBQ or camp fire rule. The ground is very dry and fire spreads quickly. Don't take the risk.

🗑️ Take your rubbish home with you. At busy periods our bins can become full. Please pack an extra bag and make sure any litter is disposed of responsibly. Take it home if our bins are full.

💦 Be water aware. Supervise children and dogs near ponds, rivers and lakes and remember NO swimming is allowed.

💚 Love our park and our wildlife. Leave only footprints and take only memories.

We’re reflecting on our important landscape restoration and habitat creation works one year on this 🐝🌺🦋

Grazing sheep will soon lead to an increase in the variety and numbers of wildflowers, encouraging more butterflies and invertebrates to the grassland areas of the park.

Wood pasture work will benefit mammals such as bats and birds, voles, weasels, insects and butterflies including the silver washed fritillary and mompha langiella moth, which is declining locally.

The benefits for wildlife are already beginning to show this year, with a nightingale being heard singing in Church Field after the scrub management works took place.
