🚂 Yeo Rounds The Curves

Sandwiched between the dunes and road, Fairbourne Railway's 'Yeo' pulls a train from Barmouth Ferry to Fairbourne during the railway's Steam & Diesel Gala 2026.

What better way to enjoy the stunning Welsh scenery, a mix of mountains and coastlines, than from the carriage of a Great Little Train of Wales? ⛰️🏖️

🚂🚆 No 24 & Rachel Return to Fairbourne

For the first time in 35 years, No 24, now named 'Lucy-Lou' returns to the place it was built, the Fairbourne Railway, along with the little diesel 'Rachel', returning for the first time in 9 years.

Both locos were visiting as part of the Fairbourne Railway Steam & Diesel Gala 2026, running the shuttle service along the dual gauge section of the line from Fairbourne station to Car Park Crossing.

🚂 Sherpa From the Lineside

During the Fairbourne Railway's Steam & Diesel Gala, Sherpa leads its train from Fairbourne to Barmouth Ferry in the May Bank Holiday sunshine, on one of the hottest days of the year 🥵

Possibly my favourite shot of the day, the camera was definitely spotted by several on board the train! 😂

Talyllyn Railway No. 2 'Dolgoch' & No. 1 'Tal-y-Llyn' roll into Dolgoch station on one of the railway's Victorian Train days.
