🚂 Tal-Y-Llyn Propels The Carriages Up To Pendre

After completing its trains for the day, Talyllyn Railway's No. 1 locomotive, "Tal-Y-Llyn", propels the empty carriages back up the incline, from Tywyn Wharf station, to the carriage shed at Pendre.

🚄 TransPennine Express Nova 2 Passes South Through Quintinshill

Travelling from Glasgow Central to Manchester Airport, TransPennine Express Class 397, also known as the Nova 2, 397006, passes through Quintinshill as it heads out of Scotland and into England along the West Coast Mainline.

I’ve been out and about at the Corris Model Railway Exhibition 2026 in Machynlleth, Powys, and the new video is now live on Rob’s Rails!

Held at Y Plas over the weekend, I filmed 15 fantastic layouts, covering everything from narrow gauge OO9 right up to O gauge. There’s plenty of variety to enjoy, with some brilliant modelling on display. 👀

🛤️💦 St Cadfan And The Water Spraying Train Cross Dolgoch Viaduct

🥵 The many heatwaves the UK has experienced this summer, along with the lack of rainfall, has resulted in some interesting movements on railway lines across the country.

On the Talyllyn Railway, No. 12 "St. Cadfan" is seen here employed on a water spraying train, making its way up and down the line in an attempt to dampen the dry vegetation and reduce the risk of lineside fires.

🚆 Class 20 Moves Through The Points At Highley

Having run into the loop at Highley station to run round its train, Class 20 20048 then moves through the points at the southern end of the station, after a brief pause to check all points were fully in position.

🚂 Pannier Arriving From The Platform At Highley

Shot from the southern edge of the platform at Highley station on the Severn Valley Railway, GWR Pannier Tank 7714 pulls into the station with a train, that's too long to fit into the platform, from Kidderminster to Bridgnorth.

Nova 2 Class 397 unit, 397002, passes through Leyland station, on the West Coast Mainline, at speed, with a service from Edinburgh to Manchester Airport.

Tesco Express! 🚄 DRS Class 88s Through Quintinshill

No shopping needed for this Tesco Express! 😄

The familiar Tesco intermodal passes through Quintinshill, headed by DRS Class 88s 88009 "Diana" and 88007 "Electra", with the driver giving the camera a toot and a wave!

A rather more impressive Tesco Express than the one at the end of the road! 🚂🛒
