Hi everyone Louis here from Mango Mammals HQ! We are proud to present our new t-shirts! Here they are! Those t-shirts are black like mine! Mango Mammals are delighted to announce that our artists Louis Walkden, Barnaby Beck and Luke Radclyffe, Sam Alexander, and the brand new Mango Mammals house band (Tom, Andrew and Luke) will be taking to the foyer stage at Brighton Dome tomorrow from 11-11.30am and then from 1.30pm for their Access day. Also a range of exciting artists and speakers from across the community. We re really excited! Thanks to Brighton Dome for the invite!

Hi everyone, Louis and Ben here. We've been very busy producing new music not least my new single Rusty, an absolute feel good banger. Here's a photo update of the past week also Barnaby Beck and Shane Ford in action recording in the studio. Shane's new track New Lease on Life, a brilliant slice of modern hip hop and Barnaby and Luke's New track is Fireworks an indie rock song, brimming with energy. We can't wait to share with you all. Hi everyone. We have a huge announcement to share with you... We are so excited that the music video "Crying Shame" by Barnaby Beck , produced by Specialist Music Service and our record label Mango Mammals has been selected for Oska Bright Film Festivall, 16th-22nd March. Last week was Mango Mammals Records 2nd birthday and we celebrated in style!!!! We signed 3 new artists (more on that later), celebrated achievements, made big plans for the year ahead and ate pizza! What a time. Huge thanks as always to Daphne Koskeridou and Chris Childs and all the team at Small Pond for letting us party at their place. Thanks to our Directors Barnaby Beck Luke Radclyffe and Louis Walkden for taking care of business like the true professionals they are and Bec Pearson for taking photos. Exciting news! During lockdown we had the pleasure of collaborating with the wonderful k&dyoga and her team. We were asked to compose a piece of music to be used for their yoga and meditation performance. On the 17th September they performed at the The Lyric Theatre london for the JOY festival, and our track Spiritual Forest was played in accompaniment. We werent able to attend this time but the video of the performance looked fantastic. Well done to Kelly and her team for an incredible show and here's to collaborating again in the future! Big day for mango mammals yesterday. There have been have been so many achievements in such a strange year. This week our directors were presented with their certificates of appreciation for their role in the founding and management of the label. Very proud of Barnaby Beck Luke Radclyffe and Louis Walkden for their work as artists, directors but most importantly the way they support each other. Here’s to bigger and better things in September! Big thank you to Small Pond as always for the professional venue and great staff. See you on the flipside

While completing his Gold Arts Award our Director Barnaby Beck researched and formed an opinion on issue in arts. Here is the issue and his conclusion: (Please share your opinion in the comments if you can)

Disability inclusion in the arts and the impact of Covid-19

I chose this issue because it affects me and my fiends. I am a musician with Autism and Downs Syndrome.

Conclusion:

Before the pandemic things were getting better for disabled people in the arts. People were working hard to make sure everyone had the same opportunities. There was still a lot of work to do to make things fair but I could take part in the arts.

The pandemic made it harder for people with disabilities and people are worried that there will be an “unravelling of progress” after Covid.

I believe that people should be able to follow their dreams in the arts and I believe there should be more opportunities for people like me in the arts. So disabled people don’t get left behind, there should be more funding to help us achieve our goals.
