✂️This is how we get ready every time we go to a zine fair or market.
📚There’s so much that goes on behind the scenes when you run a small business, and each time we go to a zine fair, there’s a lot of preparation needed (especially if we have new zines - like the ones we are bringing to The Anarchist Bookfair tomorrow).
The weeks coming to the market, we:
🔢Check and decide how much stock we need to take
🎁Count how many zines we have wrapped, folded and ready. + Any other things we might need to make such as business cards.
✂️Wrap, wrap wrap, fold, fold, fold, cut, cut , cut. This takes hours!
🫧Pack everything securely before it goes in the suitcase. We use bubble wrap.
👀Make sure we have everything we need: other stock like stickers and postcards, business cards, blue tack, tablecloth, card reader, displays for the small items and the zines, eco-friendly packaging, our information, spare pens, paper, glue and scissors, pride flags and beautiful artwork by , which we always have on display in our stall.
😁Other things we didn’t mention in the video, and we always carry in our bags, are: snacks, water, tissues, a jacket, a portable battery, cables and a book. This could be another video! 😆
