We are huge fans of Art Of Tones here at Jalapeno. He has remixed a few projects for us – any of which we could have picked for our Twenty Five compilation but the combination of his production with Izo FitzRoy’s incredible voice is just sublime!

The Allergies shared some thoughts on their track 'God Walked Down' which features on our Twenty Five anniversary comp - “The planets aligned on this one. All we did was put some breaks, blues, funk and soul into the beat blender and this came pouring out. Proper Holy Ghost business. And it still gives us goosebumps and rocks crowds over a decade and 11m+ streams later. High point of our live show too. Yeah, our signature tune”.

Smoove and Turrell's 'I Can't Give You Up' was their debut single on Jalapeno. It was a raw, gritty and exciting meeting of John Turrell's incredible vocals and Smoove's distinct production, which gave birth to the northern powerhouse that is still bringing down the house at a stage near you! Another classic feature on our new 'Twenty Five' anniversary comp.

We are celebrating our 25th anniversary in the business. Celebrations started with a label party at Pikes, Ibiza in Summer 2025 and will be finishing with a run of festival stage takeovers in Summer 2026.

We are marking the occasion with the release of a 3LP compilation featuring some of label boss Trevor Mac’s favourite dancefloor gems from across the years.

From a humble start in a basement recording studio on Holloway Road to a quarter century anniversary celebrated from our Brighton offices – we have been an indie label with a mission - to bring the funk to the masses. Along the way that has taken in so many genres from chill to house, gospel to soul, breaks to drum & bass but it has all had a common thread running through it - the funk.

“Twenty Five years means there are too many artists to list and this album is not supposed to be a Greatest Hits. We did that on the 20th anniversary. The album is dedicated to all of the artists that trusted us with their music and all the people who supported us along the way” says Trevor Mac.
