Out for less than a week and — plot twist! — already ON SALE for 99p on Kindle. The star of Killer Twist is Aggie Catchlove and she’d highly recommend taking the deal — 99p is a steal! What have these things got in common? Abba, Baby Reindeer, a pink cashmere jumper, an Icelandic volcano and a burnt-down pier? They’re clues in my new book! KILLER TWIST is out today in all the usual formats and places. It’s about a celebrity author who is murdered during a crime writing festival - I had almost too much fun writing this one… It was also my most formally challenging because it switches between the voices of two narrators; a writer of erotic thrillers and the author of Nordic Noir. The question is, who offed Kit Stirling??

So much fun last night at the annual quiz — with my fellow Hove writers, we were team Amy Swinehouse. We came second and felt justly magnificent. Our team comprised six writers with side skills; cancer doctor, actor, teacher, marketing expert, Arts Council funded academic, French speaker, double-BAFTA winning journalist, and also me. The only thing I. Know is that the voice of the sexy rabbit in the 1980s Cadbury’s Caramel advert was Miriam Margolyes and luckily that came up. We’re coming for you next year, Notorious P.I.G!

When a celebrity author is murdered at the Crème de la Crime writing festival, a Scandinavian writer of Nordic noir and an English ‘crim-ance’ novelist form an unlikely team to catch the killer of a man they both love to hate. Perfect for fans of Anthony Horowitz’s Magpie Murders.

Crime writer Aggie Catchlove can never forget how celebrity author Kit Stirling stole her famous ‘twist’. Fellow novelist Jakob Hök learns that Kit’s next book is a rip-off of his long-running series. So Jakob and Aggie do what writers do best; they plot the perfect murder of a man who is killing their careers. But when Kit Stirling is found dead for real, fingers point at Aggie and Jakob.

They decide the only way to clear their names is to investigate. As the police lock down the event, Aggie and Jakob split up to double their efforts, but paranoia is a third wheel that destabilises their alliance. Both writers want to tell the story, not be the story. And, when push comes to shove, they’ll do anything to be the voice of the final chapter.

As the investigation hurtles towards a big reveal, the question is not whodunnit, but who will deliver the killer twist?
