Canadian comedian and writer Mae Martin is making waves with their latest Netflix series Wayward, a genre-bending psychological thriller that dives deep into identity, cult dynamics, and the troubled teen industry.

In a recent series of interviews, Martin opened up about the personal and political layers behind the show, and why trans representation on screen is more vital than ever.

Health Secretary Wes Streeting has sparked outrage following an interview with Mumsnet in which he described the presence of "trans men in women’s spaces" as “undignified and unpleasant for everyone concerned”.

The remarks, made during a Q&A with Mumsnet founder Justine Roberts, have intensified criticism of Streeting’s stance on trans rights and prompted accusations of promoting “trans segregation.”

Founded by Lambda Warsaw Association, Poland’s oldest LGBTQ+ organisation, the museum is a powerful act of remembrance and resistance in a region where q***r history has long been marginalised, erased, or hidden in the shadows.

Historian Piotr Laskowski said: "A huge part of this q***r history is very private… and often destroyed after the death of these people. That is also why this museum is here - so that memory is never thrown away again."

GScene Magazine is the magazine for the LGBT+ communities in Brighton & Hove. The monthly publication is distributed to readers from Brighton to Eastbourne, London, Portsmouth and Southampton. We are also online at www.gscene.com.

GScene covers LGBT+ news and it's the most comprehensive guide for bars and events in East Sussex.

Gscene Magazine started life in 1993 as a four-page insert stapled into the centre of Impact Magazine, a generic listings magazine for Brighton and Hove. Originally called 'The Q***r Guide', Brighton was not quite ready for the 'Q' word in 1993 and the name of the magazine was changed to Gscene in 1995. During the past 25 years, Gscene has played a vital role in improving services, creating opportunities and informing the LGBT+ communities in East Sussex.
